Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00600 | $0.00600 |
| Opus 5 | $0.00300 | $0.00300 |
| Sonnet 5 | $0.00120 | $0.00120 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00060 | $0.00060 |
Grade A, and why
mcp-read-only-argocd AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 8d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 27 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
Repository Guidelines
Project Structure & Module Organization
src/mcp_read_only_argocd/server.py is the MCP entry point and wires the domain tool modules under src/mcp_read_only_argocd/tools/. Connection parsing and token resolution live in config.py; HTTP calls and cookie rotation live in argocd_connector.py; shared error types are in exceptions.py; runtime path resolution is in runtime_paths.py; and validation helpers are in validation.py. Tests live in tests/, and smoke_test.py is the checkout-level connectivity probe for configured Argo CD instances.
Build, Test, and Development Commands
uv sync --extra devinstalls runtime and development dependencies.uv run mcp-read-only-argocd --print-pathsshows the resolved config, state, and cache locations.uv run mcp-read-only-argocd --write-sample-configwrites the defaultconnections.yaml; add--overwriteonly when you intend to replace it.uv run pytest -qruns the full test suite.uv run pytest tests/test_server.py -qruns a focused test module while iterating.uv run python smoke_test.py --connection stagingexercises one configured connection end to end.uv run ruff check src tests smoke_test.pyruns linting.uv run ty checkruns the type checker onsrc/.
Coding Style & Naming Conventions
Target Python 3.11+ with four-space indentation, explicit type hints, and small focused helpers. Use snake_case for modules, functions, tests, and config keys; use PascalCase for classes and Pydantic models. Keep tool registration split by domain instead of growing server.py, and preserve the current exception-driven error flow rather than returning ad hoc error payloads.
Testing Guidelines
Pytest uses unit and integration markers from pyproject.toml; prefer unit coverage by default and reserve integration runs for live Argo CD environments. Add or update tests whenever request shaping, runtime path handling, cookie refresh, NDJSON log parsing, MCP tool outputs, or hot reload behavior changes. When touching token reload or persistence behavior, cover both YAML-configured and state-file-driven cases.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

mcp-read-only-argocd AGENTS.md is an instructions file published in the GitHub repository lukleh/mcp-read-only-argocd (0 stars, last pushed 1mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 600 tokens to every session, about $0.0030 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
