Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.01147 | $0.01147 |
| Opus 5 | $0.00574 | $0.00574 |
| Sonnet 5 | $0.00229 | $0.00229 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00115 | $0.00115 |
Grade A, and why
mcp-read-only-argocd CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 114 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

Project Overview
MCP Read-Only Argo CD Server provides read-only access to Argo CD instances via the Model Context Protocol (MCP). It uses browser session cookie authentication and supports multiple Argo CD connections simultaneously.
Development Commands
# Install dependencies
uv sync --extra dev
# Run the server manually for testing
uv run python -m mcp_read_only_argocd.server
# Show runtime paths or write the sample config
uv run mcp-read-only-argocd --print-paths
uv run mcp-read-only-argocd --write-sample-config
# Smoke test all configured connections
uv run python smoke_test.py
# Smoke test a specific connection
uv run python smoke_test.py --connection staging
# Linting
uv run ruff check src/mcp_read_only_argocd/ tests/ smoke_test.py
# Run tests
uv run pytest
Architecture
Core Components
src/mcp_read_only_argocd/server.py - MCP server entry point
ReadOnlyArgoCDServerclass manages connections and orchestrates tool registration- Calls domain-specific registration functions from
src/mcp_read_only_argocd/tools/ - Error handling: Let exceptions propagate naturally - the MCP framework handles them
src/mcp_read_only_argocd/config.py - Configuration management
ArgoCDConnection(Pydantic model): Validates connection settingsConfigParser: Loads connections and session tokens from YAML- Session token state is keyed by
connection_name - Dynamic token reloading: the server hot-reloads changed YAML before tool calls, and
reload_session_token()overlays persisted session cache on every request
src/mcp_read_only_argocd/argocd_connector.py - Argo CD API client
ArgoCDConnectorwraps httpx for Argo CD API calls- Critical:
_get()calls_refresh_credentials()before EVERY request - This applies the currently loaded credential sources without restarting the server
- Automatic cookie rotation: captures refreshed
argocd.tokenfrom response headers
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

mcp-read-only-argocd CLAUDE.md is an instructions file published in the GitHub repository lukleh/mcp-read-only-argocd (0 stars, last pushed 1mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 1,147 tokens to every session, about $0.0057 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
