Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.03107 $0.03107
Opus 5.5 $0.01243 $0.01243
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00621 $0.00621
Haiku 4.5 $0.00311 $0.00311

Security

Grade A, and why

headless-pm CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 2mo ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Environment Setup

Automated Setup (Recommended)

# Run universal setup script - handles platform-specific requirements
./setup/universal_setup.sh

# This will:
# - Detect your architecture (ARM64 for native Mac, x86_64 for Claude Code)
# - Create the appropriate virtual environment (venv or claude_venv)
# - Install correct package versions for your platform
# - Create .env from env-example if needed

Manual Setup (if needed)

# For Claude Code (x86_64), use claude_venv:
python -m venv claude_venv
source claude_venv/bin/activate
pip install pydantic==2.11.7 pydantic-core==2.33.2
pip install -r setup/requirements.txt

# For native Mac (ARM64), use standard venv:
python -m venv venv
source venv/bin/activate
pip install -r setup/requirements.txt

# Configure environment
cp env-example .env
# Edit .env with API keys and database configuration

# Initialize database
python -m src.cli.main init
python -m src.cli.main seed # Optional: add sample data

Running the Application

Quick Start (Recommended)
# Activate your virtual environment first
source venv/bin/activate # or source claude_venv/bin/activate

# Use the automated start script (checks environment, DB, starts server)
./start.sh
Manual Start
# Run API server
bash start.sh

The start.sh script automatically:

  • ✅ Validates Python 3.11+ requirement
  • ✅ Checks required packages are installed
  • ✅ Creates .env from env-example if needed
  • ✅ Tests database connection
  • ✅ Initializes database if needed
  • ✅ Checks port availability
  • ✅ Starts server with proper configuration
  • ✅ Starts only services with defined ports in .env

Service Port Configuration:

  • Services are only started if their port is defined in .env
  • To skip a service, remove or comment out its port variable:
    • SERVICE_PORT - API server (default: 6969)
    • MCP_PORT - MCP server (default: 6968)
    • DASHBOARD_PORT - Web dashboard (default: 3001)

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
