Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.01352 $0.01352
Opus 5 $0.00676 $0.00676
Sonnet 5 $0.00270 $0.00270
Haiku 4.5 $0.00135 $0.00135

Measured 10d ago against content hash ebbe606bb414, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-11, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

french-politics-mcp CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 10d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

How it starts

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 124 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

Civis — french-politics-mcp

Remote MCP server exposing the official manifestos of the 2022 French presidential election for five parties (LFI, RN, Renaissance, PS, LR). It retrieves exact passages with their source and never paraphrases: the client LLM writes the synthesis, the server only supplies verifiable quotes.

Core rule

The server must prefer saying nothing over implying a source it does not have. Every behaviour follows from this: a query with no match returns zero results and an explicit notFound, compare_parties reports not_found per party rather than inferring a stance, and quotes are byte-identical to the source document.

Stack

Cloudflare Workers, TypeScript, D1 (SQLite) with FTS5. Stateless: no Durable Object, Streamable HTTP on /mcp only. The Worker bundles no data; the corpus lives in D1.

A fresh McpServer instance is created per request (required since SDK 1.26).

Layout

src/index.ts fetch handler, health check, createMcpHandler
src/server/ MCP surface: tools, resources, prompts
src/domain/ types, party metadata, topic taxonomy
src/search/ French language pipeline, FTS5 query builder
src/storage/ D1 access: search, passages, aggregates
ingest/ local pipeline: fetch, extract, normalize, build-sql
data/corpus/ corpus.json, the normalized artefact (generated, gitignored)
data/sql/ schema.sql (handwritten), seed.sql (generated, gitignored)
data/text/ extracted text, committed as consultable evidence
data/raw/ downloaded sources, gitignored except checksums.json

Commands

npm install # installs git hooks and generates worker-configuration.d.ts
npm run dev # wrangler dev on :8787
npm run typecheck
npm run ingest # fetch, extract, normalize, build-sql
npm run corpus:check # verify corpus invariants
npm run smoke # drive a real MCP session against a running server
npm run stem:check # verify stemmer convergence
npm run db:reset:local # apply schema + seed to local SQLite

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
