In plain words
What is it for?
Use them when navigating this repository, working with its skills, or creating a new skill with a SKILL.md file.
Why use it?
They help the coding agent understand the repository layout, its skills, and the required format for adding new ones.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00440 $0.00440
Opus 5 $0.00220 $0.00220
Sonnet 5 $0.00088 $0.00088
Haiku 4.5 $0.00044 $0.00044

Measured yesterday against content hash 7a01a073336b, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-08-30, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

magebyte-power CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured yesterday.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

CLAUDE.md

This file provides guidance to Claude Code (claude.ai/code) when working with code in this repository.

What This Repo Is

A collection of Claude Code Superpowers skills — battle-tested workflows, development methodologies, and prompt templates packaged as reusable units that Claude Code loads on demand.

Repo Structure

skills/<skill-name>/
SKILL.md # Entry point — required frontmatter (name, description) + skill content
references/ # Supporting reference docs loaded by the skill
dist/
<skill-name>.skill # Zip bundle of skills/<skill-name>/ for distribution
.claude/
commands/ # Custom slash commands that invoke skills

Skills

Skill Purpose
cross-verified-feature-development High-risk feature dev with 4-round cross-verification before merge

Creating a New Skill

  1. Create skills/<skill-name>/SKILL.md with required frontmatter:
    ---
    name: <skill-name>
description: <trigger description — this is what Claude uses to decide when to invoke the skill>
    ---

  2. Put supporting files in skills/<skill-name>/references/ or alongside SKILL.md.
  3. Build the distribution bundle:
    cd skills && zip -r ../dist/<skill-name>.skill <skill-name>/

  4. Add an entry to the Skills table in README.md.

Distribution Format

.skill files in dist/ are zip archives of the skill directory. They are used for distribution to users who don't have the repo cloned. The symlink install (described in README) is the preferred local setup — it keeps skills current with git pull.

Installation (for reference)

Skills are symlinked from this repo into ~/.claude/skills/:

ln -sf "$PWD/skills/cross-verified-feature-development" ~/.claude/skills/cross-verified-feature-development
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
