Repository instructions for coding agents working in a shared configuration repository. They explain the repository structure, editing rules, validation command, and commit-message format.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use them when editing this repository, especially when changing its file structure or utility scripts.
Why use it?
They prevent agents from treating the repository like a normal application and help keep related documentation and indexes consistent.

This is makoMakoGo/fish-claude's own configuration. It tells Codex and OpenCode how to work on fish-claude itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything fish-claude configures →

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00529 $0.00529
Opus 5 $0.00264 $0.00264
Sonnet 5 $0.00106 $0.00106
Haiku 4.5 $0.00053 $0.00053

Measured 9d ago against content hash f379c7c98308, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-08, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

fish-claude AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What This Repo Is

An AI coding assistant configuration sharing repository — NOT a business application. Contains reusable rule fragments for project docs, baseline CLI config references, pack references, MCP setup guides, skills, and output styles for Claude Code, Codex, Antigravity CLI, etc.

There is no application build system, application test suite, or src/ directory. Utility scripts may have lightweight validation under tools/.

Rules for Editing This Repo

  1. Not a business code repo. No builds, deploys, or src/ assumptions.
  2. Correctness first: make all related index/structure updates needed for a coherent change; do not modify unrelated modules.
  3. If file structure changes, update the corresponding directory's README.md (every second-level directory carries its own index).

Validation

Before submitting utility-script changes, run:

bash tools/validate.sh

Git Commit Message Format

Use lightweight domain prefixes:

<prefix>: <subject>
<body>
<footer>

<prefix> and <subject> are required; <body> and <footer> are optional.

Prefer direct repo domain prefixes over conventional-commit scoped forms. Do not write chore(mcp): ... when mcp: ... is clearer.

Common prefixes examples:

  • mcp: MCP guides and MCP config references
  • agy: Antigravity CLI instructions/config
  • omp: Oh My Pi instructions/config/tools
  • codex: Codex instructions/config/tools
  • opencode: OpenCode instructions/config
  • skills: skill references and skill indexes
  • tools: maintenance tools and patch runners
  • docs: broad documentation-only updates
  • word: modify text expression style
  • chore: broad repo maintenance that does not fit a tighter domain

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
