Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.03807 | $0.03807 |
| Opus 5.5 | $0.01523 | $0.01523 |
| Sonnet 5.5 | $0.00761 | $0.00761 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00381 | $0.00381 |
Grade A, and why
apple-notes-reminders-mcp CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 2mo ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 98 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

This file provides guidance to Claude Code (claude.ai/code) when working with code in this repository.
What this is
An MCP server (macOS-only) that exposes Apple Notes and Apple Reminders as tools to MCP clients (e.g. Claude Desktop). TypeScript, ESM, compiled with tsc, run under Node via stdio transport.
Commands
npm run build # tsc compile, src/ -> dist/
npm run build:swift # swiftc swift/reminders-daemon.swift -o swift/reminders-daemon (also runs on npm install via postinstall)
npm start # node dist/index.js (the MCP server, stdio transport)
There is no lint script and no npm test. Test suites are standalone scripts:
npm run build && node scripts/test-phase2.mjs # protobuf/checklist decoder
npm run build && node scripts/test-markdown.mjs # markdown -> Notes-HTML converter
npm run build && node scripts/test-schema-detection.mjs # schema-detection sanity checks (live DB)
scripts/test-phase2.mjs is self-contained — it reimplements the protobuf varint/field decoder inline (mirroring notesStore.ts) rather than importing it, so unit-test sections (varint safety, checklist edge cases, and a set of pinned full-pipeline fixtures that gzip-compress a complete synthetic document and decode it end to end) run without touching the real Notes database. Its final section ("Real DB notes") does open the actual dist/notesStore.js and read specific note IDs (p9875, p9656, p9858) that only exist in the original author's own Notes.app — those cases will fail/error on any other machine and can be ignored when validating unrelated changes.
scripts/test-markdown.mjs imports dist/markdown.js directly and asserts exact HTML output for the markdown converter — fully deterministic, no Notes.app or SQLite access needed.
scripts/test-schema-detection.mjs imports dist/notesStore.js and asserts invariants (non-empty folder path/id/account, Recently Deleted excluded, valid date parsing, etc.) against whatever real Notes database is present — like test-phase2.mjs's "Real DB notes" section, this needs Full Disk Access and actual note/folder data, so failures on a fresh or empty library are expected rather than a regression signal.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

apple-notes-reminders-mcp CLAUDE.md is an instructions file published in the GitHub repository martijnstegink/apple-notes-reminders-mcp (1 stars, last pushed 1mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 3,807 tokens to every session, about $0.0152 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
