ccmux AGENTS.md

ccmux AGENTS.md is an instructions file for Codex, OpenCode from max-listov/ccmux. It costs 163 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

Repository instructions that direct coding agents to read the root CLAUDE.md file before changing anything. They also specify Bun as the runtime and rules for protecting private information in a public repository.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use them when making changes to the ccmux repository and checking its required workflow, runtime, release order, and publication safeguards.
Why use it?
They prevent agents from following outdated duplicate instructions, using the wrong tools, or publishing private hostnames and session details.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00163 $0.00163
Opus 5 $0.00081 $0.00081
Sonnet 5 $0.00033 $0.00033
Haiku 4.5 $0.00016 $0.00016

Measured 3d ago against content hash 4972b05ef734, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-08-30, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

ccmux AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 3d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Project instructions

Read CLAUDE.md in this repository root before making any change. It is the single source of truth for working here — repository conventions, what must never be published, the order in which work is finished, committed and released, and the runtime rules (Bun, never Node/npm).

This file exists only so that agents looking for AGENTS.md are pointed at that one file. It deliberately carries no rules of its own. A second copy drifts: the one that used to live here had fallen six weeks behind and still taught the runtime conventions while silently missing the rule that this repository is public and must never contain private hostnames, machine labels or session names — exactly the rule whose absence is most expensive.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
