Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00712 | $0.00712 |
| Opus 5 | $0.00356 | $0.00356 |

Grade A, and why
mcp-picnick CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 7d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

100% identical to mcp-google-images-search CLAUDE.md — 0 lines differ, which has more behind it and is treated as the original. This page carries a canonical link to it rather than competing with it.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 77 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
Project Overview
This is an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server for Google Images Search that allows searching and downloading images through Google Custom Search API. The server provides two main tools: search_image for finding images and persist_image for downloading them to local storage.
Development commands
building
pnpm build- Production build using ncc (creates dist/cli.js executable)pnpm build:tsc- TypeScript compilation with alias resolutionpnpm dev- Development mode with file watching (uses chokidar to recompile on changes)
testing and quality
pnpm test- Run tests using Vitestpnpm lint- Run ESLint checkspnpm lint:fix- Fix ESLint issues automaticallypnpm tsc- TypeScript type checking without emitting files
Architecture
key dependencies
@modelcontextprotocol/sdk- MCP server frameworkwinston- Logging (logs tologs/info.log)zod- Schema validation for tool parameters
core Structure
- Entry Point:
src/index.ts- Sets up MCP server with Winston logging and registers tools - Tools: Located in
src/tools/directory with separate folders for each tool - Utilities:
src/utils/tryCatch.ts- Error handling utility for async operations
tool architecture
Each tool follows a consistent pattern:
index.ts- Exports schema and handler factory functionutils.ts- Business logic and API integrationREADME.md- Tool documentation
error handling
The codebase uses a custom tryCatch utility that wraps operations in a Result-like pattern returning [error, data] tuples. This provides type-safe error handling without throwing exceptions.
environment variables
API_KEY- Google Cloud API keySEARCH_ENGINE_ID- Google Custom Search Engine ID
Tool Details
search_image
- Purpose: Search for images using Google Custom Search API
- Location:
src/tools/search_image/ - Key Parameters: query (required), count (1-10), safe search settings
- Returns: Image metadata with thumbnails and full-size links
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

mcp-picnick CLAUDE.md is an instructions file published in the GitHub repository micfogas/mcp-picnick (0 stars, last pushed 1mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 712 tokens to every session, about $0.0036 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. It is 100% identical to mcp-google-images-search CLAUDE.md, differing in 0 lines, and is treated as a copy.
