Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00462 | $0.00462 |
| Opus 5 | $0.00231 | $0.00231 |
| Sonnet 5 | $0.00092 | $0.00092 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00046 | $0.00046 |
Grade A, and why
tapo CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Cross-Language Bindings
When modifying Rust code that has Python bindings (tapo-py), always check if corresponding Python type stubs (.pyi files) need updating. The debug feature in tapo is user-facing public API — tapo-py enables it (features = ["python", "debug"]), so all debug-gated types are also exposed to Python. Treat changes behind cfg(feature = "debug") as public API changes requiring changelog entries for both Rust and Python.
Exposing Rust Types to Python
- Simple value/result types: Annotate directly in the
tapocrate with#[cfg_attr(feature = "python", pyo3::prelude::pyclass(from_py_object, ...))]and#[cfg(feature = "python")] crate::impl_to_dict!(TypeName);. Do NOT create a redundant wrapper struct intapo-py. serde_json::Value→ Python: Usecrate::python::serde_object_to_py_dict. Do NOT write custom conversion functions — pyo3'sserdefeature does not auto-implementIntoPyObjectforValue.
Python Stub Conventions
Extclasses in.pyistubs (e.g.ToDictExt,DebugExt,OnOffExt) must usetyping.Protocolsince they describe capabilities of PyO3 classes without real Python-level inheritance.
Problem Solving
When a first fix attempt fails, step back and investigate the root cause before trying another surface-level fix. Explain the diagnosis before proposing the next approach.
Git Commits
Always run /commit when committing. It contains the project's commit conventions.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

tapo CLAUDE.md is an instructions file published in the GitHub repository mihai-dinculescu/tapo (800 stars, last pushed yesterday), licensed MIT. It adds 462 tokens to every session, about $0.0023 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-30.
