loanpro-mcp-server: Instructions file for Claude Code

CLAUDE.md

loanpro-mcp-server CLAUDE.md is an instructions file for Claude Code from MiloCreditPlatform/loanpro-mcp-server. It costs 1,036 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

A coding guide for a Go server that connects AI clients to the LoanPro lending API. It documents build, test, formatting, credentials, transport modes, and the server’s main layers.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when building, testing, formatting, running, or extending the LoanPro MCP server and its loan or customer operations.
Why use it?
It helps agents understand how API calls and server tools fit together, reducing inconsistent changes across the client, domain code, and tool layer.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.01036 $0.01036
Opus 5 $0.00518 $0.00518
Sonnet 5 $0.00207 $0.00207
Haiku 4.5 $0.00104 $0.00104

Security

Grade A, and why

loanpro-mcp-server CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Architecture

The server has three layers that must stay in sync when adding a new tool:

1. loanpro/ — raw API client

client.go provides makeRequest (GET) and makePostRequest (POST). Individual files (loans.go, customers.go, etc.) implement domain-specific API calls against two LoanPro endpoints:

  • OData (/public/api/1/odata.svc/Loans) — for fetching loan detail with $expand
  • Elasticsearch (/public/api/1/Loans/Autopal.Search()) — for search and filtered queries (e.g. daysPastDue range). Use this for any filter that isn't a direct OData Loan entity property.

types.go defines all structs. Important subtlety: Loan.active (json: "active") is a soft-delete flag and is always 1 for any fetchable record. LoanSetup.active (json: "active" on the nested LoanSetup object) is the true loan lifecycle active/inactive status shown in the UI.

loan_methods.go adds helper methods to *Loan for safe access with fallback priority: search-result fields → StatusArchiveLoanSetup. The GetActive() method reads LoanSetup.active; if LoanSetup is nil, it returns "0" (never falls back to Loan.active).

Dates from LoanPro arrive as /Date(unix_seconds)/; use parseLoanProDate (date only) or parseLoanProDateTime (with time) from types.go.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
