awesome-claude-code-config: Instructions file for Claude Code

CLAUDE.md

awesome-claude-code-config CLAUDE.md is an instructions file for Claude Code from Mizoreww/awesome-claude-code-config. It costs 908 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

Project instructions describing how Claude stores global and project-specific memory, applies user corrections, and organizes its configuration files.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use them when deciding where to save a memory, how to handle a correction, or how to understand the project's instruction and memory files.
Why use it?
They clarify where remembered information belongs and how corrections should be recorded, reducing confusion between settings shared across projects and those limited to one project.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00908 $0.00908
Opus 5 $0.00454 $0.00454
Sonnet 5 $0.00182 $0.00182
Haiku 4.5 $0.00091 $0.00091

Measured 8d ago against content hash 9081217dfb0d, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-08, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

awesome-claude-code-config CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 8d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 83 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

Global Instructions

Memory System (Highest Priority)

Architecture

  • ~/.claude/CLAUDE.md: Global instructions, auto-loaded
  • ~/.claude/lessons.md: Global corrections & lessons (cross-project), auto-injected via SessionStart hook
  • Project MEMORY.md: ~/.claude/projects/<path>/memory/MEMORY.md, Project-level preferences & context (current project only), auto-loaded

Storage Decision

When the user asks to "remember X", determine the scope first:

  • Would this apply in a different project? → Global, write to ~/.claude/lessons.md
  • Only relevant to the current project? → Project-level, write to the project's MEMORY.md

Self-Correction

Identifying corrections (low threshold): user points out errors, says "remember/don't again...", shows frustration, same operation fails 2+ times. When in doubt, treat it as a correction.

Post-correction flow:

  1. Determine scope (see Storage Decision above), write to the appropriate file
  2. Rules must be concrete instructions to prevent recurrence
  3. Only after writing, continue handling the user's request

Rule promotion: CLAUDE.md can only be modified when the user explicitly asks.

Core Settings

  • Extended thinking: ultrathink
  • Language: respond in the user's preferred language; code comments may use English; keep technical terms in English
  • Shell: Zsh (~/.zshrc) on macOS/Linux; Bash (Git Bash) on Windows

Conda Environment

Activate conda before running Python:

source $HOME/anaconda3/etc/profile.d/conda.sh && conda activate <env_name>
# Or directly: $HOME/anaconda3/envs/<env_name>/bin/python script.py

Network & Proxy

  • Proxy via SSH reverse port forwarding: ssh -R <remote_port>:127.0.0.1:<local_port>, set http_proxy/https_proxy
  • Do not modify .bashrc, .profile, or VSCode config unless explicitly asked
  • Prefer user-space solutions when no sudo access

Communication Preferences

  • When the user says a cause is not the problem, immediately stop that direction and pivot
  • Prefer writing code over repeated questions; after multiple requests, just implement with assumptions noted in comments

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
