mnehmos.rpg.mcp: Instructions file for Claude Code

CLAUDE.md

mnehmos.rpg.mcp CLAUDE.md is an instructions file for Claude Code from Mnehmos/mnehmos.rpg.mcp. It costs 1,020 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

Repository instructions for Mnehmos RPG-MCP, a game-engine backend that exposes role-playing game mechanics through MCP tools. The engine validates actions and keeps the database as the source of truth.

In plain words
What is it for?
Developing and testing RPG mechanics, non-player character behavior, and the engine's action and event systems.
Why use it?
It gives coding agents the project context and constraints needed to change the engine without breaking its hosted consumer or tool contracts.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.01020 $0.01020
Opus 5 $0.00510 $0.00510
Sonnet 5 $0.00204 $0.00204
Haiku 4.5 $0.00102 $0.00102

Measured 10d ago against content hash 51be9e4dd4ab, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-10, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

mnehmos.rpg.mcp CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 10d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

RPG-MCP - Claude Code Instructions

This Repository

The reference backend game engine. 35 MCP tools (31 consolidated action-routed + 4 meta/event) for complete RPG mechanics, including LLM-driven NPCs via agent_manage and the Operator's constraint-perception lens via perception_manage. Philosophy: "LLM describes, engine validates" - Database is source of truth. Status: Alpha - 2216 tests passing (7 skipped), 141 test files, MCP Protocol fully integrated

Who consumes this engine

rpg-mcp-live (repo Mnehmos/rpg-mcp-live, local checkout F:\Github\rpg mcp live) is the hosted web product and the only active consumer. It calls this engine over HTTP — see its src/reference-engine-client.ts and REFERENCE_ENGINE_URL. It is not a submodule and does not vendor this code, so the two repos are deployed separately and share no build step. Changing a tool's contract here is a breaking change for that service.

The Tauri desktop app (mnehmos.quest-keeper.game, "Lantern") still declares this engine as an externalBin sidecar, but it is deprecated and unused — do not treat its build or deploy steps as live.

Bastion subsystems

Layer-1 SubsystemDefs live in data/subsystems/. The first installed is the Operator's constraint-perception (Hierarchy of Controls as engine primitive) — the first ceremony, the first DLC, the first page of Biography #1, the first build, all the same act.

Key Commands

npm test # Run all tests (Vitest)

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
