Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00726 | $0.00726 |
| Opus 5.5 | $0.00290 | $0.00290 |
| Sonnet 5.5 | $0.00145 | $0.00145 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00073 | $0.00073 |
Grade A, and why
mcp-memory-server AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 12d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 44 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
AGENTS.md
Instructions for AI coding agents working in this repository. The human-facing version of the same rules is CONTRIBUTING.md; where the two differ, CONTRIBUTING.md wins.
If you are here to connect memory for a user
You do not need to change this repository. Use one of these:
- Hosted endpoint, no key to paste:
https://mcp.mnemoverse.com/mcp(Streamable HTTP, OAuth sign-in in the browser). Per-client setup: https://mnemoverse.com/docs/api/install-by-host - Local stdio server: follow
llms-install.md, which is written for an agent installing on a user's behalf. Ask the user for their key; never invent one and never write a literalmk_live_key into a file that gets committed.
Setup and checks
- Node.js 18 or newer. Install with
npm ci. - Build:
npm run build(the prebuild step runs the config generator, the postbuild step regeneratestools.json). - Tests:
npm test(vitest). Test types:npm run typecheck:test. - Drift checks:
npm run verify:configs(generated files matchsrc/configs/source.json) andnpm run verify:tools(committedtools.jsonmatches the built server).
CI runs the tests in three time zones, so do not assume UTC in tests that touch timestamps.
The one rule: src/configs/source.json
src/configs/source.json is the only file edited by hand for distribution metadata: descriptions, install snippets, env variables, registry fields. After changing it:
npm run generate:configsnpm run verify:configs- Commit the source change together with every regenerated file.
Do not edit generated files by hand. They are server.json, manifest.json, everything under docs/configs/ and docs/snippets/, and the README regions between the INSTALL_SNIPPETS and MORE_CLIENTS HTML comment markers. A hand edit is overwritten on the next run and fails verify-configs.yml in the meantime. If a diff appears in one of these files and source.json did not change, discard it.
Do not hard-code distribution metadata in src/, and do not add a parallel config file next to source.json.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

mcp-memory-server AGENTS.md is an instructions file published in the GitHub repository mnemoverse/mcp-memory-server (26 stars, last pushed today), licensed MIT. It adds 726 tokens to every session, about $0.0029 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-09-29.
