CLAUDE.md

intervals-icu-mcp-ts CLAUDE.md is an instructions file for Claude Code from moxus/intervals-icu-mcp-ts. It costs 702 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

A set of project instructions for Claude Code, an AI coding assistant, in a TypeScript server that provides Intervals.icu fitness data through MCP, a standard way for AI tools to connect to services.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when building, testing, formatting, deploying, or changing the Intervals.icu MCP server.
Why use it?
It records the project’s commands, architecture, release rules, and required formatting so changes follow the repository’s conventions.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00702 $0.00702
Opus 5 $0.00351 $0.00351
Sonnet 5 $0.00140 $0.00140
Haiku 4.5 $0.00070 $0.00070

Security

Grade A, and why

intervals-icu-mcp-ts CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Commands

pnpm run build # Bundle with tsup → dist/
pnpm test # Run all tests (vitest)
pnpm vitest run test/utils.test.ts # Run a single test file
pnpm run format # Prettier (run before every commit)
pnpm start # Start MCP server (requires env vars)
pnpm run dev:worker # Start Cloudflare Worker locally
pnpm run deploy # Deploy Worker to Cloudflare

Commit Conventions

  • Conventional Commits required: feat:, fix:, chore:, etc.
  • Pushing to main auto-releases (patch bump → NPM publish via GitHub Actions).
  • For docs-only changes, include [skip ci] in the commit message to prevent a release.

Architecture

This is an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server that exposes Intervals.icu fitness platform data to AI agents over stdio transport.

Flow: CLI (index.ts) → MCP Server (server.ts) → API Client (api.ts) → Intervals.icu REST API

  • src/index.ts — Commander.js CLI entry point. Two modes: verify (credential check) and default (start MCP server). Reads INTERVALS_ATHLETE_ID and INTERVALS_API_KEY from env/.env.
  • src/server.ts — Registers 10 MCP tools (get/list/create/update/delete for activities, wellness, workouts, events). Each tool validates input with inline Zod schemas and returns removeNulls()-cleaned JSON.
  • src/api.tsIntervalsClient wraps fetch with basic auth. All responses are Zod-validated. Critical safety invariant: events can only be created/modified/deleted if they are in the future (fetches existing event before update/delete to verify).
  • src/worker.ts — Cloudflare Worker entry point. Reads credentials from query params (?athleteId=&apiKey=) and serves MCP via Streamable HTTP.
  • src/schemas.ts — Zod schemas for all API request/response types. Most use .passthrough() to allow extra fields from the API.
  • src/utils.tsremoveNulls() recursively strips nulls so JSON output is cleaner.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
