Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00626 $0.00626
Opus 5.5 $0.00250 $0.00250
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00125 $0.00125
Haiku 4.5 $0.00063 $0.00063

Measured 27d ago against content hash 5e1a04e03969, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-10-07, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

awesome-generative-ai CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 27d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What this repo is

A curated "awesome list" of generative AI resources. Almost all content is Markdown; the only code is a GitHub star-count updater. Most changes are adding a single entry to the right docs/*.md file (typical commit: "Add to ").

Layout

  • README.md — landing page and navigation hub (Start Here, Top Picks, Build Paths, Resource Index). Links into docs/. If you add a new docs/ file, link it from the README's Resource Index (and Build Paths if relevant) and from CONTRIBUTING.md's "Where to Add".
  • docs/*.md — one file per topic (agents, MCP, STT/TTS, voice cloning, emotion recognition, text-to-image, talking head, transformers, GenAI APIs, context engineering). docs/more_detailed.md is the catch-all for broad references.
  • scripts/update_stars_fixed.py — the star updater run by CI.
  • .github/workflows/update-stars.yml — runs the updater daily at 02:00 UTC (and on manual dispatch) and auto-commits changes to README.md and docs/*.md.

Adding entries (from CONTRIBUTING.md)

  • Pick the correct file and section; match the surrounding table/bullet format exactly (column count and order vary per table).
  • Official links first (GitHub repo, paper, project page, docs). Open-source or freely accessible resources.
  • Descriptions: concise and factual, ~8–15 words, no promotional wording. Prefer ASCII.
  • Check for duplicates before adding (grep the project name/URL across README.md and docs/).
  • Formats:
    • Table row: | **Project** | - | Short factual description | [Repo](https://github.com/org/repo) |
    • Bullet: - [Project](https://github.com/org/repo) - Short factual description

Star counts

Tables with a Stars header column get their star cells refreshed automatically. The updater only touches a row if it is in a table whose header contains a cell exactly Stars, the row contains a https://github.com/owner/repo link, and the current cell is - or a comma-formatted number. So when adding a row to such a table, put - in the Stars cell (CI fills it in) and include the GitHub link in the row. Don't hand-edit star numbers.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
