Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.01313 | $0.01313 |
| Opus 5 | $0.00656 | $0.00656 |

Grade B, and why
claude-code-talk-to-me CLAUDE.md scanned grade B with 1 finding against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Asks for rootmediumPrivilege escalation
A mod that escalates privileges can change anything on the machine, not only the project.

Project Overview
TalkToMe is a Claude Code plugin (MCP server) that enables Claude to communicate via audio - using your computer's microphone and speakers for real-time voice conversations. Written in Python 3.10+, using the MCP SDK, and communicating via the Model Context Protocol (MCP).
v3.0 is cloud-only: Speech processing is handled by ElevenLabs cloud services for simple setup and cross-platform compatibility.
Development Commands
Setup and Run
# Install Python dependencies (requires uv)
cd server && uv pip install -e .
# Run the MCP server
uv run -m talktome_mcp.server
Prerequisites
# Install ffmpeg (required for audio conversion)
# Linux (Ubuntu/Debian): sudo apt-get install ffmpeg
# Linux (Fedora): sudo dnf install ffmpeg
# macOS: brew install ffmpeg
Code Quality
# Install pre-commit hooks (first time setup)
pre-commit install
# Run linting manually
ruff check server/
# Run linting with auto-fix
ruff check --fix server/
# Run formatting
ruff format server/
Pre-commit hooks run automatically on git commit and include:
- ruff: Fast Python linter with auto-fix (
--fix) - ruff-format: Code formatter (Black-compatible)
Environment Configuration
Copy .env.example to .env.local and configure:
- Required: TALKTOME_ELEVENLABS_API_KEY (get from https://elevenlabs.io)
- TTS settings (voice ID, model, stability)
- STT settings (model, language, VAD parameters)
Architecture
Provider Pattern
The codebase uses abstract provider interfaces in server/talktome_mcp/providers/base.py:
- PhoneProvider: Abstract audio I/O interface (LocalPhoneProvider for system audio)
- TTSProvider: Abstract text-to-speech (ElevenLabsTTSProvider for cloud)
- STTProvider: Abstract speech-to-text base class
- RealtimeSTTProvider: Extends STTProvider for streaming audio with VAD (ElevenLabsSTTProvider)
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

claude-code-talk-to-me CLAUDE.md is an instructions file published in the GitHub repository msaelices/claude-code-talk-to-me (7 stars, last pushed 8mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 1,313 tokens to every session, about $0.0066 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it B with 1 finding (asks for root). No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
