pm-pilot: Instructions file for Claude Code

CLAUDE.md

pm-pilot CLAUDE.md is an instructions file for Claude Code from mshadmanrahman/pm-pilot. It costs 708 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

A set of instructions for a product-management toolkit used with Claude Code, an AI coding assistant. It covers product work, developer workflows, content tasks, and persistent company context.

In plain words
What is it for?
It helps prepare meetings, write product requirements, research markets, prioritize work, synthesize interviews, and follow development practices such as test-driven development (writing tests before code).
Why use it?
It gives the assistant a repeatable way to load relevant guidance and retain product knowledge across sessions. This reduces repeated explanations and unstructured work.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00708 $0.00708
Opus 5 $0.00354 $0.00354
Sonnet 5 $0.00142 $0.00142
Haiku 4.5 $0.00071 $0.00071

Measured 6d ago against content hash 0d25bf1ae16f, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-06, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

pm-pilot CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 6d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

PM Pilot

Product management toolkit for Claude Code. Designed for PMs who code.

Skill Loading

Load skills on demand by trigger, not at session start. Categories:

  • PM Core: meeting-prep, people-sync, weekly-status, deep-context, market-sizing, ask-company, dogfood, lenny-podcast, prd, prioritize, synthesize-interviews, critique, issue-tree
  • Productivity: session-init, handoff-doc, strategic-compact, orchestrator, manifest-reader, meta-observer
  • Dev: tdd-workflow, verification-loop, search-first, security-review
  • Content: market-research, writing-style, writing-substack

Context Flywheel

Four persistent files grow through use. Skills read from them before producing output and offer to update them after.

  • context/company.md - Company info, goals, constraints
  • context/product.md - Product state, value prop, differentiators
  • context/competitors.md - Competitive landscape
  • context/personas.md - Target user profiles

Rules:

  • Never overwrite context. Append or update with [Updated: YYYY-MM-DD] Previously X, now Y.
  • Tag conversation-sourced inputs with [Source: PM input, not yet in context files]
  • After saving to context, the tag is no longer needed.
  • Context files ship empty. They grow through use.
  • If context is missing, ask the user. Do not fabricate.

Session Protocol

  1. Start: Memory is auto-loaded. Say what you're working on. If resuming: read latest handoff.
  2. During: Save corrections to memory. Use handoff-doc for mid-task context capture.
  3. End: Create handoff if work is in-progress. Save reusable learnings to memory.

Agent Dispatch

Plan a feature planner

Fix build errors build-error-resolver
Write tests first tdd-guide
Analyze large files file-analyzer

Evidence Tagging

All output documents must tag uncertain claims:

  • [Assumption] - Inferred, not confirmed by user
  • [Needs data] - Requires validation with real metrics
  • [Source: X] - Derived from a specific source
  • [Open question] - Needs stakeholder input

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
