golink CLAUDE.md

golink CLAUDE.md is an instructions file for coding agents from mudrii/golink. It costs 2,874 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

Development instructions for Golink, a Go command-line tool for people and AI agents to use LinkedIn. They describe its commands, API connection, login system, retries, and machine-readable output.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use them when implementing LinkedIn login, profiles, organization posts, scheduling, transport code, API retries, or JSON output.
Why use it?
They define how LinkedIn requests, authentication, errors, and command output must work. This gives contributors a consistent design for adding or changing CLI features.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.02874 $0.02874
Opus 5 $0.01437 $0.01437
Sonnet 5 $0.00575 $0.00575
Haiku 4.5 $0.00287 $0.00287

Measured 5d ago against content hash 56ed1b8aa597, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-08-30, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

golink CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 5d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

How it starts

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 159 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

golink is a LinkedIn CLI for humans and LLM agents. Go 1.26.2 on darwin/arm64. See PROMPT_golink.md for the full implementation spec. go.mod, toolchain, and CI config are the source of truth.

Architecture

  • CLI: cobra (github.com/spf13/cobra); auth subcommands: login, status, logout, refresh; org subcommands: list (requires w_organization_social_feed or legacy w_organization_social); post subcommands: create (with --image, --as-org), list, get, delete, edit, reshare, schedule; top-level: profile, doctor (read-only, not audited), version
  • Transport seam: internal/api/transport.go (interface) → official.go (live LinkedIn adapter) / noop.go (fallback). Every CLI command goes through Transport.
  • HTTP: internal/api/client.gogo-retryablehttp, 429/5xx retry, Linkedin-Version + X-Restli-Protocol-Version headers, rate-limit parsing, typed api.Error
  • Auth: native PKCE OAuth by default with standard OAuth 2.0 fallback (internal/auth/oauth.go) + go-keyring session store — tokens never touch disk or logs
  • Output contract: schemas/golink-output.schema.json — every --json response must validate; fixtures in internal/output/schema_test.go

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
