Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.02504 $0.02504
Opus 5 $0.01252 $0.01252
Sonnet 5 $0.00501 $0.00501
Haiku 4.5 $0.00250 $0.00250

Security

Grade A, and why

academic-writer-skills AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 10d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Academic Writer Skills — Multi-Agent Workflow Guide

This document describes how to orchestrate multiple Academic Writer skills in multi-agent pipelines for complex academic writing tasks.

Overview

The Academic Writer plugin uses academic-writing-core as the master orchestrator skill that routes tasks to 26 specialist skills. In multi-agent systems, you can run skills in parallel or sequence depending on task dependencies.

Skill Dependency Map

academic-writing-core (orchestrator)
├── paper-structure → defines sections for other skills
├── literature-review → feeds into argumentation-engine
├── argumentation-engine → feeds into paper-structure
├── abstract-writer → requires completed paper/draft
├── grammar-style-checker → final pass, no dependencies
├── citation-formatter → runs on any draft
├── reference-verifier → validates citation-formatter output
├── statistical-reporting → parallel with other sections
├── figure-table-checker → parallel with other sections
├── journal-selection → informs cover-letter-writer
└── cover-letter-writer → requires completed paper

Pipeline Patterns

Pattern 1: Full Research Paper

Run in sequence (each step depends on previous):

Step 1 (Structure):
  Agent: paper-structure
Input: topic, paper type, discipline, target journal
Output: section outline with word counts

Step 2 (Parallel research):
  Agent A: literature-review
    Input: topic, key sources
    Output: synthesised literature section
  Agent B: statistical-reporting
    Input: statistical results
    Output: formatted results section

Step 3 (Writing):
  Agent: academic-writing-core
Input: outline + literature + results
  Output: full draft

Step 4 (Parallel polish):
  Agent A: grammar-style-checker
    Input: full draft
    Output: corrected draft
  Agent B: citation-formatter
    Input: reference list
    Output: formatted bibliography
  Agent C: figure-table-checker
    Input: figures and tables
    Output: compliance report

Step 5 (Abstract):
  Agent: abstract-writer
  Input: completed paper
  Output: structured abstract

Step 6 (Publication prep):
  Agent A: journal-selection
    Input: paper topic, target IF
    Output: journal recommendations
  Agent B: cover-letter-writer
    Input: paper + selected journal
    Output: submission cover letter

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
