skills: Instructions file for Claude Code

CLAUDE.md

skills CLAUDE.md is an instructions file for Claude Code from napalmpapalam/skills. It costs 1,628 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

Repository instructions for maintaining a marketplace of coding-agent plugins. They describe the marketplace files, plugin folders, naming rules, and version updates.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use them when adding a plugin, editing an installed plugin, changing skills, commands, agents, or hooks, or validating marketplace entries.
Why use it?
They help contributors place new components correctly and avoid installation or validation problems caused by incorrect names or manifests.

Instructions file for Claude Code

Written for Claude Code: ${CLAUDE_PLUGIN_ROOT} variable. Also seen: reads .claude/ paths; mentions CLAUDE.md; mentions Claude Code.

This is napalmpapalam/skills's own configuration. It tells Claude Code how to work on skills itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything skills configures →

Runs only inside a plugin — its command needs a path that Claude Code sets for a plugin’s own hooks and for nothing else, and the catalogue could not identify which plugin ships it.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.01628 $0.01628
Opus 5 $0.00814 $0.00814
Sonnet 5 $0.00326 $0.00326
Haiku 4.5 $0.00163 $0.00163

Security

Grade A, and why

skills CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Overview

This is a plugin marketplace — a registry of plugins (skills, commands, agents, hooks) that can be installed via the /plugin marketplace add command.

Repository Structure

  • .claude-plugin/marketplace.json — The marketplace manifest. Contains the marketplace name, owner info, and the plugins array where plugin entries are registered.
  • plugins/ — Local plugin sources. Each plugin lives in its own directory with a .claude-plugin/plugin.json manifest and component directories (skills/, commands/, agents/, hooks/).
  • scripts/ — Validation scripts run by CI (also runnable locally).
  • .github/workflows/validate.yml — CI pipeline validating the marketplace and plugin manifests.

Naming Convention

Skills are namespaced under the dd: prefix so they're easy to find via /dd:…. The trick is to put the dd: prefix only in plugin.json's name, and keep the marketplace-facing names plain kebab-case — a colon in an install identifier breaks Claude Code's plugin list/install parsing.

The slash command is <plugin.json name> + : + <SKILL.md name:> — Claude Code adds the plugin prefix itself. So the skill's name: must be bare: name: commit, never name: dd:git:commit, or you get /dd:git:dd:git:commit in the slash menu. (Official plugins all use bare names; that's the pattern.)

Field Value Why
Marketplace .name kebab — napalmpapalam-skills install identifier — must be colon-free
Marketplace plugin-entry .name kebab — git this is the install key (git@napalmpapalam-skills) — must be colon-free
Plugin plugin.json .name dd:<domain>dd:git drives the command prefix; the colon is safe here (not an install key)
Skill directory kebab — commit keep it equal to name:
Skill SKILL.md name: bare kebab — commit the command suffix; the dd:<domain>: prefix is added for you

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
