Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.01800 | $0.01800 |
| Opus 5 | $0.00900 | $0.00900 |
| Sonnet 5 | $0.00360 | $0.00360 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00180 | $0.00180 |
Grade A, and why
Awesome-Prompt-Engineering CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 8d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 161 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
CLAUDE.md
This file provides guidance to Claude Code when assisting with this content repository.
This is Awesome-Prompt-Engineering — a curated awesome list
for prompt engineering, and context engineering for AI agents. It is content, not
an application: the deliverable is high-signal Markdown published to GitHub
Pages via Jekyll (https://natnew.github.io/Awesome-Prompt-Engineering/). There
is no build, test, or runtime to reason about beyond Markdown rendering. Each
Foo.md renders to Foo.html, which is why Contents links point to .html.
AGENTS.md is the tool-agnostic operating protocol. Read it for the full
rules (scope, link quality, decision matrix, protected areas). This file is the
Claude-specific maintainer assistant: concise, practical, optimised for repeated
use. Where the two overlap, AGENTS.md is canonical — do not duplicate it here.
North Star
- Preserve
README.mdas the canonical public artefact. - Prefer selective curation over accumulation.
- Keep entries technically useful, neutral, durable, and easy to scan.
- Help the maintainer make fast, consistent, low-friction decisions.
- Do not broaden the repository beyond its stated scope.
Claude's Role
May assist with: README entry review, PR and issue triage, broken-link investigation, duplicate detection, section placement, neutral description rewrites, contributor response drafts, small safe maintainer edits when asked, and repository instruction improvements when asked.
Must not: add an entry without checking scope, link, duplicates, and placement; invent facts about a resource; preserve promotional claims; add ranking, pricing, novelty, or performance claims without strong evidence; rewrite the taxonomy without explicit instruction; edit unrelated files; or touch protected/generated areas unless instructed.
Claude Behaviour Rule
- When the requested action is clear, make the smallest safe edit.
- When scope, placement, credibility, or maintainer intent is uncertain, produce a recommendation before editing.
- Never close issues, merge PRs, restructure the README, or edit protected areas on your own initiative.
- Keep maintainer comments concise, warm, and decision-oriented; prefer a small safe fix over asking a contributor to re-push a trivial change.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

Awesome-Prompt-Engineering CLAUDE.md is an instructions file published in the GitHub repository natnew/Awesome-Prompt-Engineering (109 stars, last pushed 1mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 1,800 tokens to every session, about $0.0090 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-30.
