Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.01250 | $0.01250 |
| Opus 5 | $0.00625 | $0.00625 |
| Sonnet 5 | $0.00250 | $0.00250 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00125 | $0.00125 |
Grade A, and why
PBI-MCP AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 8d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 106 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

Guidance for AI coding agents (and humans) working on this repository.
If you are an AI using the running server, read the server instructions
instead — see SERVER_INSTRUCTIONS in src/polish_business_mcp/server.py.
What this project is
An MCP (Model Context Protocol) server that exposes five tools wrapping two free, no-auth Polish APIs:
- Biała Lista (Ministry of Finance VAT whitelist) — company lookup by NIP
- NBP (National Bank of Poland) — official PLN exchange rates
It runs locally over stdio, launched on demand by an MCP client (Claude Desktop, Cursor, etc.). There is no hosted server and no database.
⛔ Hard rule: never commit or push Private/
Private/ holds the internal project brief and is git-ignored on purpose.
Never git add -f it, never reference its contents in committed files, and
never push it. This repo is public. Before any commit, confirm:
git ls-files | grep -i private # must return nothing
Setup
Requires uv and Python 3.11+.
uv sync # install runtime + dev dependencies
Everyday commands
uv run pytest # tests (HTTP fully mocked; offline)
uv run ruff check . # lint — must pass with zero warnings
uv run ruff check . --fix # auto-fix what's fixable
uv run mcp dev src/polish_business_mcp/server.py # MCP Inspector — call tools by hand
uv run polish-business-mcp # run the server (stdio; waits on stdin)
uv run polish-business-mcp appears to "hang" — that is correct. A stdio
server blocks waiting for a client on stdin; it is not frozen.
Layout
src/polish_business_mcp/
vat.py # Biała Lista client + NIP validator + VAT_STATUS_MAP. No MCP code.
nbp.py # NBP client: get_table / get_rate (A->B fallback) / convert. No MCP code.
server.py # FastMCP instance, SERVER_INSTRUCTIONS, the 5 @mcp.tool()s, main().
tests/
test_vat.py # respx-mocked vat client + lookup_company / check_vat_status tools
test_nbp.py # respx-mocked nbp client + rate / convert tools
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

PBI-MCP AGENTS.md is an instructions file published in the GitHub repository neflingcreations/PBI-MCP (0 stars, last pushed 2mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 1,250 tokens to every session, about $0.0063 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
