mcp-server: Instructions file for Codex

AGENTS.md

mcp-server AGENTS.md is an instructions file for Codex, OpenCode from negm17111995/mcp-server. It costs 1,446 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

Repository instructions for working with the MAQAMI Travel MCP server, a service that searches hotels and flights and provides secure checkout links. They explain what the server does, how to connect to it, and how to use its tools.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use them when developing or connecting to the MAQAMI travel server, including searching travel options and directing customers to the separate payment website.
Why use it?
They give a coding agent the project context and connection details it needs instead of making it infer them from the codebase.

Written for Codex and OpenCode: the file is AGENTS.md. Also seen: mentions .claude-plugin; mentions AGENTS.md; mentions Codex.

This is negm17111995/mcp-server's own configuration. It tells Codex and OpenCode how to work on mcp-server itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything mcp-server configures →

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.01446 $0.01446
Opus 5.5 $0.00578 $0.00578
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00289 $0.00289
Haiku 4.5 $0.00145 $0.00145

Security

Grade A, and why

mcp-server AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 2d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

AGENTS.md

Guidance for coding agents and AI assistants that work with this repository or connect to the MAQAMI Travel MCP server.

What this is

  • MAQAMI Travel MCP server: a hosted MCP server for searching hotels and flights on MAQAMI and sending the customer a secure checkout link on book.maqami.co.
  • Endpoint: https://mcp.maqami.co/
  • Transport: Streamable HTTP
  • Authentication: none.
  • Payment: only on book.maqami.co. The server never takes payment; no tool accepts payment details.
  • Registry name: io.github.negm17111995/maqami-travel (official MCP Registry)
  • npm: maqami-travel, a stdio bridge for clients that cannot use remote servers

Connecting

Use the remote endpoint whenever the client supports Streamable HTTP. Common configurations:

{ "mcpServers": { "maqami-travel": { "url": "https://mcp.maqami.co/" } } }
claude mcp add --transport http maqami-travel https://mcp.maqami.co/
codex mcp add maqami-travel --url https://mcp.maqami.co/
gemini mcp add --transport http maqami-travel https://mcp.maqami.co/

Client-specific keys differ: VS Code uses "servers" with "type": "http", Windsurf uses "serverUrl", Gemini CLI settings use "httpUrl", and Cline uses "type": "streamableHttp". See README.md for each client.

For stdio-only clients:

{ "mcpServers": { "maqami-travel": { "command": "npx", "args": ["-y", "maqami-travel"] } } }

Using the tools

Read the tool list from the server (tools/list); it is the source of truth for names and input schemas. The usual flows are:

  • Hotels: search rates by city, coordinates, airport, hotel IDs or aiSearch (post_hotels_rates) → hotel details (get_data_hotel, get_data_reviews) → confirm with the user → prebook (post_rates_prebook) → give the customer the checkoutUrl (https://book.maqami.co/booking?prebookId=...).
  • Flights: find airports (get_data_flights_airports) → search (post_flights_rates) → verify the chosen offer (post_flights_verify) → confirm the final price with the user → give the customer the checkoutUrl (https://book.maqami.co/flights/booking?offerId=...).
  • Existing bookings: lookup, amend and cancel tools (for example get_bookings_bookingid, cancel_hotel_booking) need the booking ID and the email used to book. Pass both bookingId and email to every booking tool. To find a customer's hotel bookings, call listBookings with the email and last name used to book; it returns only bookings where both match the booking holder.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
