Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.03672 | $0.03672 |
| Opus 5 | $0.01836 | $0.01836 |
| Sonnet 5 | $0.00734 | $0.00734 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00367 | $0.00367 |
Grade A, and why
anno-mcp CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 12d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 146 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
ANNO MCP Server
An MCP server for a search of ANNO (AustriaN Newspapers Online), the historical newspaper archive of the Österreichische Nationalbibliothek (ÖNB), and for retrieval of its newspapers.
Stack
- Python ≥3.12, uv, fastMCP ≥2.0.0, httpx ≥0.27.0
Functions
- A full-text search with the boolean operators (AND, OR, NOT), exact phrases and a wildcard at the end of a word
- Filters for the date range, the title, the place, the language, the subject and the medium (newspaper against periodical)
- Page-level KWIC snippets that resolve a result to a page of an issue, with citation URLs and IIIF crops
- An OCR text download for each page or each issue, with a local cache
- Pagination at 10 results for each page, fixed by the server

client.py holds all the behaviour. server.py and cli.py are thin presentation layers over it, so the search semantics and the cache stay identical for each method of access. The CLI shows each filter without a condition. The MCP server hides them behind --enable-advanced-search.
API Details
ANNO publishes no API. This client uses two services that have no documentation and no authentication.
Search — the REST backend of the AnnoSearch application:
- Base URL:
https://anno.onb.ac.at/anno-suche/rest - Endpoints:
/search/simple,/search/complex,/search/complex/config,/search/snippet - A person found these when they read the Angular bundle at
/anno-suche/main-<hash>.js, which containsapiUrl:"/anno-suche/rest"and the four call sites. The hash of the bundle changes at each release. Find it again. Do not put it in the code. - Response format: JSON, no key, no cookie
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
