k-ruoka-mcp: Instructions file for Codex

AGENTS.md

k-ruoka-mcp AGENTS.md is an instructions file for Codex, OpenCode from nikosavola/k-ruoka-mcp. It costs 1,031 tokens per session, scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

Project instructions for a local MCP server that manages one K-Plussa account's K-Ruoka shopping cart. It uses an installed Chrome browser because K-Ruoka has no public API, and MCP is a standard way for an AI agent to use external tools.

In plain words
What is it for?
Running, testing, and modifying the K-Ruoka server while preserving its browser profile, authentication, and cart-result checks.
Why use it?
It warns agents about live login data, browser setup, Cloudflare-related behavior, and how cart changes must be verified.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.01031 $0.01031
Opus 5 $0.00515 $0.00515
Sonnet 5 $0.00206 $0.00206
Haiku 4.5 $0.00103 $0.00103

Security

Grade A, and why

k-ruoka-mcp AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 10d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

How it starts

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 76 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

AGENTS.md

MCP server that manages one K-Plussa account's K-Ruoka shopping cart. There is no public API, so it drives a real installed Chrome over CDP and issues each /kr-api/ call as a same-origin fetch() from inside the loaded page. README.md has the tool surface, CONTRIBUTING.md the setup.

Things that will break if you "fix" them

  • The browser profile is a live credential. It holds a real login (platform data dir, or K_RUOKA_PROFILE). Never delete it on failure, never commit it. A block relaunches against the same profile; only AuthExpired means re-login.
  • The User-Agent must not contain HeadlessChrome. That single fact is what clears Cloudflare. No stealth plugin, nothing else.
  • One Chrome per profile directory. That is why an interactive login makes serve hand its browser over rather than starting a second one.
  • K-Ruoka answers 200 with the cart unchanged for an unknown item id, and inserts a placeholder for an unknown EAN. Mutations are therefore verified by result (confirm_amount, confirm_absent in browser/basket.rs), not by status. Do not replace those checks with a status check, and do not cache the basket id: the guards read the basket the write itself returned, so a stale id would pass them while mutating the wrong cart.
  • itemId is not an EAN. It exists only once an item is in the cart.
  • Requests are spaced 500 ms apart process-wide, deliberately, to stay gentle on their servers.

Commands

just lists everything. The ones that matter:

just test hermetic suite: no network, no Chrome. Use this.
just lint / just pre-commit clippy with -D warnings / the full hook set
just coverage enforces the line floor CI uses
just probe POST /kr-api/... '{...}' re-derive an endpoint against the live site

Without just, the first two are cargo test --all-targets and cargo clippy --all-targets --all-features -- -D warnings.

Do not run just test-live or just test-account casually. They hit the real site, and test-account mutates the real cart with the real login. Both are #[ignore]d; test-account also needs K_RUOKA_ACCOUNT_TEST=1. Never remove an #[ignore].

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
