Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |

Grade A, and why
nimbus-mcp CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 1 finding against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 8d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

nimbus-mcp — Claude Code Context
What this is
@nimbus-dev/mcp — the MIT-licensed launcher that exposes a locally-installed
Nimbus index and its agents to any MCP client. It does no work itself: it locates the
nimbus binary already on the machine and execs it as nimbus mcp-server --stdio,
then passes stdio straight through.
The MCP server is not in this repo. It lives in the AGPL monorepo at
packages/cli/src/commands/mcp-server.ts + packages/cli/src/mcp/, and serves 21
tools: nine read-only index tools (INDEX_TOOL_SPECS) plus twelve agent-classified ones
(AGENT_CLASSIFIED_TOOL_SPECS — the eleven AGENT_TOOL_SPECS entries plus peekWhy).
This package only knows how to find the binary — never how to run the gateway.
Re-derive that split from packages/cli/src/mcp/adapter.ts before restating it: only the
TOTAL is pinned over there (adapter.test.ts: expect(TOOL_SPECS).toHaveLength(21)), so
the split drifts silently — "six index tools" was stated here, and is still stated in
adapter.ts's own buildMcpServer doc comment, long after the list grew to nine.
Stack
- Runtime: Bun v1.2+ · Language: TypeScript 7.x strict · Linter: Biome
- Zero runtime dependencies. Not "few" — zero.
package.jsonhasdevDependenciesonly. Adding a runtime dep is a licence and supply-chain decision, not a convenience call. - No

Commands
bun run typecheck # tsc --noEmit
bun run lint # biome check .

Cross-repo relationships
Nimbus— the gateway/CLI monorepo. Owns the MCP server this launcher starts, and owns the installer whose output directoriessrc/installer-contract.tsvendors. This package was extracted from it (packages/mcp-launcher) on 2026-08-20.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

nimbus-mcp CLAUDE.md is an instructions file published in the GitHub repository nimbus-agent/nimbus-mcp (0 stars, last pushed 4d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 1,379 tokens to every session, about $0.0069 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 1 finding (makes network calls). No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
