AGENTS.md

x402-grocery AGENTS.md is an instructions file for Codex, OpenCode from nirholas/x402-grocery. It costs 506 tokens per session, scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A set of repository instructions for coding agents working on the x402-grocery project. It describes the project, its TypeScript layout, setup commands, checks, and working rules.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when installing, building, type-checking, testing, or modifying the x402-grocery repository.
Why use it?
It gives an agent repository-specific facts instead of making it guess how the project is organised or tested. This helps it follow the project's conventions before changing code.

Written for Codex and OpenCode: the file is AGENTS.md. Also seen: mentions Claude Code; mentions AGENTS.md; mentions Codex.

This is nirholas/x402-grocery's own configuration. It tells Codex and OpenCode how to work on x402-grocery itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything x402-grocery configures →

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00506 $0.00506
Opus 5.5 $0.00202 $0.00202
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00101 $0.00101
Haiku 4.5 $0.00051 $0.00051

Measured 27d ago against content hash 95a3fad9ff9e, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-10-07, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

x402-grocery AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 27d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Conventions

  • TypeScript runs in strict mode; do not loosen tsconfig.json to make an error go away.
  • .env files are gitignored; never commit credentials, and read configuration from environment variables.
  • Commit messages follow Conventional Commits (type(scope): summary), matching the existing history.
  • Read the surrounding code before adding to it, and match its naming, file organisation and error-handling style.
  • Keep README.md accurate: if a change alters behaviour, commands or configuration, update the docs in the same commit.
  • Do not leave TODO comments, stub functions, placeholder data or commented-out code behind. Finish what you start or leave it out.
  • Small, focused commits with a subject line that describes the change, not the act of committing.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
