humanise GEMINI.md

humanise GEMINI.md is an instructions file for Gemini CLI from Nisus74/humanise. It costs 249 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

Repository instructions for Gemini CLI and Google Antigravity while working on humanise, a tool that makes AI-written text sound like a specific person. They explain how to use the shared writing engine and the user's private voice profile.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use them when Gemini or Google Antigravity writes or edits user-facing text in the repository. They guide profile lookup, writing checks, and approval of changes to the shared engine.
Why use it?
They help keep shared writing rules separate from personal writing examples and prevent the wrong files from being checked. They also define checks for substantial prose changes.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00249 $0.00249
Opus 5 $0.00125 $0.00125
Sonnet 5 $0.00050 $0.00050
Haiku 4.5 $0.00025 $0.00025

Measured 4d ago against content hash 02ed0f4ad2eb, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-08-30, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

humanise GEMINI.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 4d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

GEMINI.md

Gemini CLI and Google Antigravity read this file. This repo is the humanise writing skill: it makes AI-generated prose sound like a specific human wrote it.

Apply it whenever you write or edit human-facing prose for the user:

  1. Read skill/SKILL.md for the workflow.
  2. Read the user's skill/profile/ (soul.md, voice-fingerprint.md, absolute-rules.md) if it exists; otherwise point them at docs/getting-started.md.
  3. Run python3 skill/evals/assertions/writing_checks.py <draft-file> <dialect> [medium] on substantial drafts.

The engine (skill/references/) is shared; the voice (skill/profile/) is the user's. Leave code, config, and quoted material out of the prose sweep.

Engine changes clear the acceptance gate in skill/evals/self-harness-loop.md, runnable end to end via /humanise improve. Never tune a change against skill/evals/holdout-evals.json (reserved held-out), and treat skill/profile/learning/ as soul: the user's verbatim edit history, never committed.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
