Gorest 2D Animation Spritesheet Generator is a local, no-interface tool that turns concepts, references, and spritesheets into 2D animation scenes, previews, and reusable game assets. It is intended for game developers and animators creating assets through an agent-directed workflow. The catalogue instruction supports customizing and operating this workflow with coding agents.

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00648 | $0.00648 |
| Opus 5 | $0.00324 | $0.00324 |

Grade A, and why
gorest-2d-animation-spritesheet-generator AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 11d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 48 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
Gorest Agent Instructions
Gorest is a no-UI 2D game and animation generative platform. The user describes the target scene, asset, spritesheet, or editor workflow in natural language; the agent creates assets, wires metadata, and verifies the browser-visible result.
Read First
- For normal asset/scene work, this file is the required entry point.
- Read
SPRITESHEET_GENERATION_POLICY.mdonly when creating, editing, or debugging character/creature/mascot spritesheets. - Read
docs/AGENT_WORKFLOW.mdonly for larger end-to-end scene workflows or when the project structure is unclear. - Read
README.mdonly for product background, onboarding, or user-facing documentation changes.
Core Rules
- Keep work aligned with the existing React structure and
public/generated/game_asset_library.json. - Store generated app assets under
public/generated/unless the asset is a brand/logo asset. - Add reusable visual assets and scenes to
public/generated/game_asset_library.jsonwith deterministic descriptive IDs. - One-frame sprites are static images. Do not configure them as auto-playing animations unless asked.
- Multi-frame spritesheets need consistent frame size, sheet size, grid columns, fps, frames, and a reusable animation clip.
- App logo usage should stay black in the app. The colored Gorest logo is for README/community presentation.
Character Art Rules
- Character, portrait, facial-expression, creature, and mascot spritesheets must use finely drawn image-generation/diffusion-style art as the visible source.
- Do not use SVG, Canvas, PIL, CSS, or procedural overlays as the final drawing for eyes, tears, mouths, hair, clothes, limbs, or expression changes.
- Code may only post-process drawn art: background removal, alpha cleanup, fixed-frame cropping, anchor/scale normalization, spritesheet packing, preview generation, and metadata wiring.
- Require very high clarity: sharp eyes, hair strands, tears, mouth shapes, accessories, fabric texture, and clean alpha edges.
- Prefer high-detail source art and downsample into the final frame size. Do not upscale blurry frames and call them final.
- For exact visible text, prefer code-assisted text rendering over pure image generation.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

gorest-2d-animation-spritesheet-generator AGENTS.md is an instructions file published in the GitHub repository NO6KIKO/gorest-2d-animation-spritesheet-generator (1,442 stars, last pushed 1mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 648 tokens to every session, about $0.0032 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-30.
