somanylemons-mcp: Instructions file for Claude Code

CLAUDE.md

somanylemons-mcp CLAUDE.md is an instructions file for Claude Code from NoMiddleInc/somanylemons-mcp. It costs 231 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

A repository guide for developing the SoManyLemons MCP server and its /lemons command. MCP, or Model Context Protocol, is a way for an AI assistant to use tools provided by another program.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when changing the MCP server, adding or routing tools, setting up the server with Claude, or installing the /lemons skill in a project.
Why use it?
It keeps the server logic, tool definitions, setup process, and command instructions aligned, reducing the risk of adding unsupported routes or configuring the integration incorrectly.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00231 $0.00231
Opus 5 $0.00115 $0.00115
Sonnet 5 $0.00046 $0.00046
Haiku 4.5 $0.00023 $0.00023

Security

Grade A, and why

somanylemons-mcp CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 7d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

SoManyLemons MCP

Key Rules

  • All MCP-related functionality belongs directly in the MCP server code (src/somanylemons_mcp/), not in external wrappers or separate repos.
  • Tool definitions go in server.py under list_tools(), with routing in TOOL_ROUTES.
  • The skill prompt (skills/lemons/SKILL.md) orchestrates the user experience but should never duplicate backend logic.
  • The backend Public API owns the capability registry and contract. TOOL_ROUTES is a downstream projection: MCP may expose an approved operation but must not invent a route, schema or business rule. Report missing capabilities to the backend owner first.
  • Onboarding should use claude mcp add --transport http as the primary setup method, not manual JSON config.
  • The /lemons slash command requires the skill file at .claude/skills/lemons/SKILL.md in the user's project. The MCP server only provides tools. Both are needed. The install flow must copy the skill file from GitHub into the user's project.
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
