ghl-mcp-server CLAUDE.md

ghl-mcp-server CLAUDE.md is an instructions file for coding agents from northrosetech/ghl-mcp-server. It costs 1,827 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

A set of instructions for AI coding tools working with a GoHighLevel CRM server. A CRM is software for managing customer contacts and interactions; the server exposes GoHighLevel data and actions through MCP, a standard way for AI agents to call tools.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when developing or maintaining the server, including its contacts, conversations, calendars, pipelines, payments, invoices, and workflow integrations.
Why use it?
It explains what the server does, how its files are organized, and how it connects to GoHighLevel. This gives an agent the project context needed to work on the repository safely.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.01827 $0.01827
Opus 5 $0.00914 $0.00914
Sonnet 5 $0.00365 $0.00365
Haiku 4.5 $0.00183 $0.00183

Measured 4d ago against content hash 419619474ce7, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-08-30, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

ghl-mcp-server CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 4d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

How It Works

  1. src/index.ts creates a single McpServer instance.
  2. Each file in src/tools/ exports a register*Tools(server) function that calls server.tool(name, schema, handler) for each tool it owns.
  3. All tool handlers go through src/services/api-client.ts, which handles auth headers, the GHL Version header, rate limiting (100 req / 10s burst, 200k/day), and error mapping.
  4. Transport is chosen at startup via the TRANSPORT env var: stdio (default) or http.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
