claude-command-center CLAUDE.md

claude-command-center CLAUDE.md is an instructions file for coding agents from nubbymong/claude-command-center. It costs 857 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

A developer guide for Claude Command Center, a desktop app that runs and coordinates several Claude Code terminal sessions. It documents the app’s Electron, React, TypeScript, terminal, configuration, and testing structure.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when building, running, type-checking, testing, or changing the architecture and coding conventions of Claude Command Center.
Why use it?
It helps contributors understand where the app’s desktop process, user interface, communication bridge, shared types, and tests belong.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00857 $0.00857
Opus 5 $0.00428 $0.00428
Sonnet 5 $0.00171 $0.00171
Haiku 4.5 $0.00086 $0.00086

Measured 4d ago against content hash 58179714d15e, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-08-30, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

claude-command-center CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 4d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Claude Command Center

Multi-session Claude Code terminal orchestrator built with Electron 39 + React 18 + TypeScript.

Build & Run

npm run dev # Development with HMR
npm run build # Production build (electron-vite)
npm run typecheck # tsc --noEmit
npm run test:unit # vitest
npm run test:e2e # playwright
npm run test # both

Architecture

  • Main process (src/main/): Electron main, PTY management (node-pty), IPC handlers, config persistence, statusline, vision MCP server, cloud agents, tokenomics
  • Renderer (src/renderer/): React 18 SPA with Zustand stores, xterm.js terminals, Tailwind CSS v4
  • Preload (src/preload/): IPC bridge - all renderer↔main communication goes through typed channels
  • Shared (src/shared/): Types and IPC channel constants used by both processes

Key patterns

  • IPC handlers are in src/main/ipc/ - one file per domain (pty, config, logs, etc.)
  • Config persistence via src/main/config-manager.ts - JSON files in a user-selected resources directory
  • Stores in src/renderer/stores/ - Zustand, hydrated from config on startup
  • Terminal rendering via xterm.js with WebGL addon
  • SSH sessions use node-pty to spawn ssh.exe, with automated setup scripts for statusline/vision

Coding Conventions

  • No default exports (except React components that are the sole export of their file)
  • Tailwind v4 with @theme in src/renderer/styles.css - no tailwind.config file
  • Catppuccin Mocha color palette (base, mantle, crust, surface0-2, overlay0-2, subtext0-1, text, etc.)
  • Never import Node.js modules (path, fs, etc.) in renderer - use IPC
  • Never use \u{...} Unicode escapes in JSX - esbuild doesn't support them. Use String.fromCodePoint() or SVG
  • PTY writes: only chunk large pastes (>256B). Never queue all writes - causes severe input lag
  • xterm.js scrollback: keep at 10000 max. Higher values cause ~1GB RAM per terminal

Testing

  • Unit tests: vitest in tests/unit/
  • E2E tests: Playwright in tests/e2e/
  • Run npx vitest run for fast unit test feedback
  • Tests mock Electron APIs - no real PTY/window in unit tests

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
