Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.01774 | $0.01774 |
| Opus 5 | $0.00887 | $0.00887 |
| Sonnet 5 | $0.00355 | $0.00355 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00177 | $0.00177 |
Grade A, and why
image-gen-mcp CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 92 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
CLAUDE.md
Project instructions for Claude when working in the image-gen-mcp repo.
What this is
A standalone stdio MCP server that generates and edits images with Gemini and
OpenAI using the user's own API keys. It is published to npm as @nuver-labs/image-gen-mcp
and to the MCP registry as com.nuverlabs/image-gen, under the Nuver Labs
GitHub org. This repo is the single owner of that server: code, docs, and
conventions live here, not in the projects that consume it.
Users install it with npx -y @nuver-labs/image-gen-mcp. Never reintroduce absolute local
paths into the README or tool messages.
Hard rules
- NEVER use em dashes or en dashes anywhere: code comments, docs, commit messages, tool descriptions, README. Use periods, commas, colons, parentheses, or plain hyphens.
- stdout belongs to the MCP JSON-RPC protocol. No
console.loginsrc/(smoke.tsis the only exception, it is a standalone CLI). All diagnostics go throughlog()insrc/config.ts(stderr).index.tswrites to stdout only for--versionand--help, which exit before the transport connects. - Never log, echo, or commit API key values.
list_capabilitiesreports booleans only. Keys reach SDK constructors and nothing else. - Expected failures return
{ isError: true, content: [text] }with an actionable message; do not throw them across the MCP boundary. UseProviderError(src/providers/types.ts) andFileError(src/files.ts). - The three tool names and their input schemas are a published contract. Renaming a tool or removing a field needs a major version.
Commands
pnpm build: compile (tsc, ESM NodeNext; relative imports need.jsextensions), then chmod the binpnpm typecheck: tsc--noEmitpnpm test: node:test unit suite, no API keys neededpnpm inspect: build, then list tools over real MCP stdionode dist/smoke.js --provider gemini|openai [--edit path] [--out dir] [--model id]: live provider test, costs real API cents
Architecture
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

image-gen-mcp CLAUDE.md is an instructions file published in the GitHub repository nuver-labs/image-gen-mcp (1 stars, last pushed 27d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 1,774 tokens to every session, about $0.0089 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings.
