linear-project-skills: Instructions file for Codex

AGENTS.md

linear-project-skills AGENTS.md is an instructions file for Codex, OpenCode from Openly-Useful/linear-project-skills. It costs 216 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

Repository instructions for a project that publishes reusable skills for managing Linear projects, where Linear is a tool for tracking issues and project work.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use them when developing or checking the project's Linear-related skills and MCP server, including validation, packaging, synthetic-data tests, and controlled synchronization work.
Why use it?
They define validation commands and boundaries for handling issue identifiers, historical records, reconciliation, and synchronization without accidentally exposing private data or making unauthorized changes.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00216 $0.00216
Opus 5 $0.00108 $0.00108
Sonnet 5 $0.00043 $0.00043
Haiku 4.5 $0.00022 $0.00022

Measured 5d ago against content hash 8643f7bc3dac, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-06, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

linear-project-skills AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 5d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Repository guidance

This repository publishes portable Agent Skills for Linear project lifecycle work.

Before claiming completion, run:

python3 scripts/test_validate.py
python3 scripts/validate.py
cd mcp/linear-project-mcp-server
pnpm check
pnpm pack --dry-run

Preserve these boundaries:

  • Linear issue prefixes come from team keys, not project labels.
  • XY-1 requires a new empty team with key XY and first-issue readback.
  • Historical captures begin with [HISTORICAL], remain non-actionable, and use deterministic source markers.
  • Reconciliation moves only exact-identity matches and preserves team identifiers by default.
  • Ongoing sync is event-driven, evidence-backed, and scoped to one canonical project and label.
  • Never include secrets, private source material, real customer data, raw conversations, or user-specific absolute paths.
  • Forward-test with synthetic data and external writes disabled unless live mutation is explicitly authorized.
  • Do not publish, push, release, or merge without explicit authorization.
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
