Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00791 $0.00791
Opus 5 $0.00396 $0.00396
Sonnet 5 $0.00158 $0.00158
Haiku 4.5 $0.00079 $0.00079

Measured 11d ago against content hash 99c78b6d2941, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-11, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

a-i--skills 04-coding-standards.instructions.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 11d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Coding Standards Instructions

Markdown-First Approach

Skills are primarily instructional content, not code. The SKILL.md file is the primary artifact.

Python Script Guidelines

When adding Python scripts to a skill's scripts/ directory:

Style

  • Follow PEP 8 conventions
  • Keep scripts focused and single-purpose
  • Make scripts directly executable when appropriate
  • Include docstrings for non-trivial functions

Dependencies

  • Document dependencies in comments or a requirements.txt
  • Keep dependencies minimal
  • Don't assume global package installation

Example Structure

#!/usr/bin/env python3
"""
Brief description of what this script does.

Usage:
    python3 script_name.py [arguments]
"""

import sys
import os

def main():
    """Main entry point."""
    # Implementation
    pass

if __name__ == "__main__":
    main()

Testing

  • Include simple smoke tests when appropriate
  • Document test commands in SKILL.md
  • Example: python3 scripts/my_script_test.py

Content Guidelines

Examples in SKILL.md

  • Keep examples concise and actionable
  • Use ASCII art/content unless the domain requires otherwise
  • Show concrete input/output when helpful
  • Demonstrate edge cases when relevant

Code Comments

  • Don't over-comment obvious code
  • Do comment non-obvious decisions or algorithms
  • Explain "why" not "what" when code is clear

File Organization

    template.txt        # Templates
    config.json         # Configuration

Naming Conventions

  • Directories: lowercase, hyphen-separated
  • Python files: lowercase, underscore-separated (snake_case)
  • Markdown files: UPPERCASE or Title Case
  • Config/data: lowercase with appropriate extension

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
