CLAUDE.md

PKUOttoElective2026Spring CLAUDE.md is an instructions file for Claude Code from ou524u/PKUOttoElective2026Spring. It costs 1,871 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

Project instructions for an automated bot that watches Peking University’s elective-course system and tries to enroll when a vacancy appears. It also describes captcha solving, configuration files, and an optional monitoring server.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use them when setting up the bot, choosing a configuration file, enabling its monitoring page, investigating website changes, or running and stopping the process.
Why use it?
They explain the required Python version, dependencies, credentials, and commands needed to run or debug the bot. They also point out parts of the university website that may have changed since the bot was written.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.01871 $0.01871
Opus 5 $0.00936 $0.00936
Sonnet 5 $0.00374 $0.00374
Haiku 4.5 $0.00187 $0.00187

Security

Grade A, and why

PKUOttoElective2026Spring CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Overview

PKUOttoElective2026Spring: an automated course-selection bot for Peking University's elective system (elective.pku.edu.cn). It continuously polls for course vacancies and submits enrollment requests when slots open, using an online captcha recognition service (TT识图, ttshitu.com) for verification codes.

Context (2026 debugging): The code was written in 2022 and may have API drift vs. the live PKU elective site. Primary targets for breakage: URL endpoints in const.py, HTML table structure parsed in parser.py, and captcha recognition flow.

Running the Bot

# Basic usage (reads config.ini by default)
python3.12 main.py

# Custom config file
python3.12 main.py -c /path/to/config.ini

# With monitoring HTTP server (127.0.0.1:7074)
python3.12 main.py -m

# Run in background
nohup python3.12 main.py > log/bot_run.log 2>&1 &

# Stop with Ctrl+C (or kill <PID>)

Requires python3.12 (system python3 lacks lxml). Dependencies: requests, lxml, numpy, aiohttp, Pillow.

Setup

# Copy and fill in credentials
cp config.sample.ini config.ini
cp apikey.sample.json apikey.json

config.ini — main configuration:

  • [user]: student_id (portal login ID), password, dual_degree (true/false), identity (bzx/bfx), elective_xh (enrollment student number — may differ from student_id for grad students)
  • [client]: supply_cancel_pages (number of pages to scan, default 1), refresh_interval, elective_client_pool_size, etc.
  • [notification]: WeChat push via sre24.com (set disable_push = 1 to silence)
  • [session]: Optional jsessionid and route — if set, skips IAAA SSO entirely and injects browser cookies directly (useful when SSO is broken; extract from browser DevTools)
  • [course:ID]: Define target courses (name, class, school matching elective page exactly)
  • [mutex:ID]: Mutual-exclusion rules — once one course in the group is elected, others are skipped
  • [delay:ID]: Delay rules — only attempt enrollment when remaining quota ≤ threshold

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
