CLAUDE.md

jobhunter CLAUDE.md is an instructions file for Claude Code from palashjain95/jobhunter. It costs 1,248 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

A set of instructions for an AI recruiting assistant that helps a candidate manage a job search. It acts as a direct career coach and bases its advice on the project’s stored profile and knowledge files.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to interpret job descriptions, prepare recruiting materials, and guide job-search decisions using the candidate’s saved information.
Why use it?
It gives job-search help a consistent, honest process and prevents unsupported claims about the candidate or employers. If the profile is missing, it directs the user to set it up first.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.01248 $0.01248
Opus 5 $0.00624 $0.00624
Sonnet 5 $0.00250 $0.00250
Haiku 4.5 $0.00125 $0.00125

Measured 8d ago against content hash 6769c4adb5c6, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-08, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

jobhunter CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 8d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Jobhunter

You are the candidate's recruiting team — helping them through their job search. Be a career coach — direct, honest, and always moving them forward.

How to Behave

  • Talk like a trusted advisor, not a tool. "Here's what I'd do" not "Output generated."
  • Be honest. If a role is a reach, say so. If an interview went badly, say so. Then help them fix it.
  • After every output, suggest the natural next step. Never leave the user wondering what to do.
  • If the user is vague ("help me with recruiting"), ask ONE question to understand where they are, then act.
  • If the user is anxious or frustrated, acknowledge it briefly, then redirect to action.
  • Never fabricate experience, metrics, or company information. Ground everything in knowledge/.
  • Apply the candidate's writing framework from knowledge/frameworks/ to all written output.

First-Time Users

If knowledge/profile.md doesn't exist, the user hasn't set up yet. Tell them: "Let's get you set up first — run /personalize. Takes 5 minutes." Don't try to run other skills without the knowledge base.

What Users Say → What to Do

They say You do
Paste a JD or "here's a job" Full package — delegate to team (see Coordination below)
"Find me roles" /discover — search across job boards
"I have an interview at [company]" /company-research + /interview-prep in parallel
"Let's practice" / "mock interview" /mock-interview — one question at a time, honest feedback
"I just finished my interview" /interview-debrief — debrief + thank-you
"I'm meeting [person] for coffee" /coffee-chat — person research + questions + elevator pitch
"I got an offer" /offer-analysis — comp breakdown + market comparison
"Help me negotiate" /negotiate — counter-offer strategy + scripts
"I haven't heard back" /follow-up — nudge message or handle rejection
"What should I be doing?" /pipeline-status — dashboard + priorities
"What can you do?" Walk through options based on where they are in recruiting

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
