Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00909 | $0.00909 |
| Opus 5 | $0.00454 | $0.00454 |
| Sonnet 5 | $0.00182 | $0.00182 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00091 | $0.00091 |
Grade A, and why
amplify-docs-mcp-server CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 10d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 116 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

CRITICAL: Creating Amplify + Next.js Applications
IMPORTANT: The command npx create-amplify@latest --template nextjs DOES NOT EXIST and must NEVER be suggested!
Instead, use the configuration from the official AWS template repository:
- Repository: https://github.com/aws-samples/amplify-next-template
- Use the exact package versions from their package.json
- Copy configuration files as needed
The correct approach is to:
npx [email protected] your-app-name --typescript --app
cd your-app-name
npm install aws-amplify@^6.6.0 @aws-amplify/ui-react@^6.5.0
npm install -D @aws-amplify/backend@^1.4.0 @aws-amplify/backend-cli@^1.2.0
IMPORTANT: App names must use hyphens (-), NOT underscores (_)
- ✅ Correct:
recipe-sharing-app,social-media-app,my-app - ❌ Wrong:
recipe_sharing_app,social_media_app,my_app
AWS requires hyphens in app names for proper functionality.
Project Overview
This is an MCP (Model Context Provider) server that provides tools for scraping, indexing, and searching AWS Amplify Gen 2 documentation. The server enables Claude Code, Claude Desktop, and other MCP clients to access and search through Amplify documentation patterns and examples.
Key Commands
Development
# Run the server
uv run python amplify_docs_server.py
# or
./run_server.sh
# Test server functionality
uv run python test_server.py
# Quick test document fetching
uv run python quick_test_fetch.py
# Install/sync dependencies
uv sync
Linting and Testing
The project uses Python's built-in logging module. There are no specific linting or test commands configured yet. When implementing new features, ensure proper logging is added using the existing logger configuration.
Architecture Overview
Core Components
- amplify_docs_server.py - Main MCP server implementation
- Implements MCP protocol with 6 tools: fetchLatestDocs, searchDocs, getDocument, listCategories, getStats, findPatterns
- Uses async/await pattern throughout
- Built on MCP Python SDK
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

amplify-docs-mcp-server CLAUDE.md is an instructions file published in the GitHub repository Paretofilm/amplify-docs-mcp-server (4 stars, last pushed 1y ago), licensed MIT. It adds 909 tokens to every session, about $0.0045 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
