Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00408 $0.00408
Opus 5 $0.00204 $0.00204
Sonnet 5 $0.00082 $0.00082
Haiku 4.5 $0.00041 $0.00041

Measured 5d ago against content hash b40003591eeb, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-08-30, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

indiestack AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 5d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

IndieStack Agent Instructions

The discovery layer between AI coding agents and 6,500+ developer tools. Python 3 / FastAPI / SQLite / Fly.io.

Project Structure

  • Routes: src/indiestack/routes/*.py (f-string HTML templates)
  • Shared components: src/indiestack/routes/components.py
  • Database: src/indiestack/db.py (SQLite, WAL mode, aiosqlite)
  • MCP server: src/indiestack/mcp_server.py (published to PyPI as indiestack)
  • Auth: src/indiestack/auth.py (GitHub OAuth, sessions)
  • Scripts: scripts/ (ingestion, recategorisation, mining)

Key Commands

  • Smoke test: python3 smoke_test.py
  • Deploy: cd ~/indiestack && ~/.fly/bin/flyctl deploy --local-only
  • Local dev: python3 -m indiestack

Rules

  • Use python3 not python
  • Use request.state.user and d = request.state.db (avoid shadowing db module)
  • HTML is f-string templates with CSS variables from components.py
  • Touch targets >= 44px, sanitize with html.escape()
  • Stage specific files (never git add -A)
  • Check .claude/rules/gotchas.md for past mistakes before editing

Current State (Apr 2026)

  • 6,500+ approved tools across 25+ categories
  • Multi-category system via tool_categories junction table
  • MCP server v1.15.1 on PyPI, 10,000+ installs
  • Maker Pro at $19/mo (Stripe integration live)
  • Orchestra: CEO (Opus) + Manager (Sonnet) + 5 dept agents in tmux
  • See memory files in ~/.claude/projects/-home-patty-indiestack/memory/
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
