In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when maintaining the server, updating versions, deploying it to Fly.io or verifying its standard routes.
Why use it?
It helps agents preserve the deployment contract and remember the metadata and health endpoints that must remain available.

Instructions file for CodexOpenCode

Written for Codex and OpenCode: the file is AGENTS.md. Also seen: mentions AGENTS.md.

This is paulieb89/pyp6xer-mcp's own configuration. It tells Codex and OpenCode how to work on pyp6xer-mcp itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything pyp6xer-mcp configures →

Not installable: its command points at a path on the author’s own machine, so it runs nowhere else. The line is /home/bch/dev/ops/OPS.md.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00450 $0.00450
Opus 5 $0.00225 $0.00225
Sonnet 5 $0.00090 $0.00090
Haiku 4.5 $0.00045 $0.00045

Measured 10d ago against content hash febaffb6d6f0, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-10, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

pyp6xer-mcp AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 1 finding against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 10d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

What it actually says

AGENTS.md — pyp6xer-mcp

AI agent instructions for working in this repo. See /home/bch/dev/ops/OPS.md for credentials, fleet overview, and release tooling.

Repo shape

Single server.py. Wraps xerparser for Primavera P6 XER schedule analysis. GitHub repo: paulieb89/pyp6xer-mcp (previously also on GitLab — GitLab is legacy, GitHub is canonical).

Deploy

fly deploy --ha=false

Single instance, lhr region. App name: pyp6xer-mcp. Fly.io account: [email protected].

IMPORTANT: fly.toml must have internal_port = 8080 and PORT = "8080". The server reads PORT, not FASTMCP_PORT.

Version bump

  1. Update version in pyproject.toml
  2. Update version string in the smithery_server_card route in server.py
  3. Commit, tag vX.Y.Z, push + push tags
  4. GitHub Actions publishes to PyPI automatically on tag
  5. fly deploy --ha=false
  6. Cut a new Glama release

Standard routes (must always be present)

  • /.well-known/mcp/server-card.json — Smithery metadata
  • /.well-known/glama.json — Glama maintainer claim
  • /health — Fly health check

Verify after deploy:

curl https://pyp6xer-mcp.fly.dev/.well-known/mcp/server-card.json
curl https://pyp6xer-mcp.fly.dev/.well-known/glama.json
curl https://pyp6xer-mcp.fly.dev/health

README badge order

PyPI → SafeSkill → Glama card → Smithery

Do not

  • Do not use FASTMCP_PORT — the server reads PORT env var only
  • Do not use the GitLab repo — it is legacy
  • Do not commit API keys — all secrets are in Fly secrets (fly secrets list)
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
