Memory system usage
To answer a domain question about me, prefer mcp__memory__answer — it synthesizes a grounded, cited answer from the top memories and keeps raw record bodies out of the chat context (bodies persist and are resent every round, so dumping them is the main token cost). Use mcp__memory__search_memory (or mcp__memory__list_recent) only when you genuinely need the raw records — and then default to summaries; pass include_body=true only when a body is actually required, and keep k small. Whenever I state a fact, rule, decision, or active project worth keeping, immediately save it via the matching mcp__memory__save_* tool — do not ask first, just save and briefly confirm.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
