Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.01224 $0.01224
Opus 5 $0.00612 $0.00612
Sonnet 5 $0.00245 $0.00245
Haiku 4.5 $0.00122 $0.00122

Security

Grade A, and why

torrent-search-mcp AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured today.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Project overview

Torrent search MCP server - a Python-based torrent search service with MCP (Model Context Protocol) API, a static HTML frontend, and Telegram integration. 100% test coverage gate.

Setup commands

  • Lint/format: uv run ruff format && uv run ruff check --fix
  • Typecheck: uv run ty check
  • Tests (100% coverage gate): uv run pytest -n 2 --dist worksteal --cov=torrent_search --cov-fail-under=100
  • Full local pipeline: ./dev.sh (lock+sync, ruff, ty, prettier on md/html, tests with prettier before pytest - static HTML formatting matters because the served page is minified from it)
  • Never run destructive docker commands against volumes (torrent-search-data holds auth tokens)
  • Deploy: docker compose up -d --build torrent-search-api torrent-search-mcp (rebuild required for static changes; plain restart reuses the old image)

Testing instructions

  • 100% coverage gate enforced via --cov-fail-under=100.
  • Test suite is hermetic against ambient env: autouse fixture pins _PRUNE_MAGNET_LINKS=False (uv auto-loads .env, which flipped module constants and broke assertions when a QA toggle lingered). (2026-08-27)
  • playwright-cli verification standard: DOM snapshot + screenshot + console (+requests when network-relevant) recorded in the verification log with .playwright-cli/ artifact paths (gitignored, local-only). (2026-08-27, R1-R4 logs populated)
  • approve.sh - helper to approve a Web UI pairing code via POST /telegram/auth/register.

Security considerations

  • Session records older than 30 days are purged when the auth store loads; active tokens remain valid until logout or a later startup purge. (2026-08-28)
  • /forward_telegram is Bearer-session gated, rate-limited per chat (20/min), bot token never leaves server config. (2026-08-27)
  • Accepted trade-off: pairing codes are 16-character alphanumeric strings; capacity-capped (50) and TTL-bounded (5 min).
  • Source-page links are retained only when they are absolute HTTP(S) URLs. (2026-08-30)

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
