mcp-sanity-images AGENTS.md is an instructions file for Codex, OpenCode from pijusz/mcp-sanity-images. It costs 327 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

Repository instructions for AI coding agents working on a Bun and TypeScript project. They describe its coding conventions, test setup, and checks to run before and after changes.

In plain words
What is it for?
Following the repository’s Bun runtime and logging conventions, running tests and type checks, and updating tests and documentation when adding tools.
Why use it?
They give an agent the project-specific rules it needs to avoid incompatible code and to verify that edits do not break the project.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00327 $0.00327
Opus 5.5 $0.00131 $0.00131
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00065 $0.00065
Haiku 4.5 $0.00033 $0.00033

Security

Grade A, and why

mcp-sanity-images AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 14d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Conventions

  • Bun for dev and tests; the npm package ships a Node bundle built by bun run build:npm (dist/index.js)
  • node:fs and node:path are fine (Bun supports them natively)
  • Bun.file() for async file reads
  • All logging to console.error (stdout is JSON-RPC)
  • Tests with bun:test — no external test framework
  • Sanity API version is pinned as API_VERSION in src/sanity.ts. Don't bump it without checking the perspective default and the draft/published ID handling in upload_and_set (see test/api-version.test.ts)
  • Every GROQ request sends an explicit perspective (default raw); never rely on the API default, which changed to published in v2025-02-19

Before making changes

  1. Run bun test to confirm all tests pass
  2. Run bun run typecheck to confirm no type errors
  3. Understand the tool registration pattern in src/tools/

After making changes

  1. Run bun test — all tests must pass
  2. Run bun run typecheck — no errors
  3. If adding a new tool, add corresponding tests in test/
  4. Update README.md tool table if tool list changes
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
