pixijs-skills react.instructions.md

pixijs-skills react.instructions.md is an instructions file for GitHub Copilot from pixijs/pixijs-skills. It costs 281 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

PixiJS v8 guidance for React components written in JSX or TSX. React is a JavaScript library for building interfaces from reusable components, while PixiJS draws the graphics.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to build PixiJS scenes with React components, load assets, draw graphics, run animation loops, access the application, and clean up objects.
Why use it?
It explains how to connect PixiJS objects to React's component and lifecycle model. It also helps avoid loading assets during rendering and leaving graphics resources behind after unmounting.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00281 $0.00281
Opus 5 $0.00140 $0.00140
Sonnet 5 $0.00056 $0.00056
Haiku 4.5 $0.00028 $0.00028

Measured 4d ago against content hash 9ff849e56d34, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-08-30, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

pixijs-skills react.instructions.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 4d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

PixiJS in React — path-specific instructions

When writing or suggesting PixiJS code in React/JSX/TSX files:

  • Use @pixi/react for declarative PixiJS in React. It provides <Application>, <Container>, <Sprite>, <Graphics>, <Text> and other components that map to PixiJS objects.
  • Initialize the Application using the <Application> component. Pass props like width, height, background directly.
  • Use useApp() hook to access the Application instance from child components.
  • For the Graphics component, pass a draw callback: <Graphics draw={(g) => { g.rect(0, 0, 100, 100).fill('red'); }} />. The callback receives the Graphics instance.
  • Use useTick(callback) hook for animation loops instead of directly accessing app.ticker.
  • Clean up PixiJS resources on unmount. Remove textures and destroy objects that won't be reused.
  • For complex scenes, create custom components that wrap PixiJS objects and manage their lifecycle with useEffect.
  • Load assets outside of render using Assets.load() in a useEffect or with a loading state pattern; do not load assets synchronously in render.
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
