Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.02596 | $0.02596 |
| Opus 5 | $0.01298 | $0.01298 |
| Sonnet 5 | $0.00519 | $0.00519 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00260 | $0.00260 |
Grade A, and why
chronoclaude CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 75 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

Commands
npm test— runsnode --test tests/*.test.js(128 tests, ~1s).npm run check:version— verifiespackage.json,.claude-plugin/plugin.json, and.claude-plugin/marketplace.jsonall carry the same version. CI gate before tagging.npm run prerelease—check:version+ full test suite. Run before anygit tag v*.npm run tokens(orbun run tokensifbunis available) — printsgpt-tokenizerBPE counts for representative[timing]payloads. Used as a proxy for Anthropic's tokenizer.claude plugin validate .— validates the.claude-plugin/manifest.claude --plugin-dir .— runs Claude Code with this repo as a local plugin source (development)./reload-plugins(inside Claude Code) — picks up changes after editing scripts in this repo without restarting Claude Code.
To run a single test, target the file directly: node --test tests/state.test.js (or whichever).
Architecture
The plugin gives Claude Code a sense of wall-clock time and idle gaps. It ships four modes coordinated through a single per-session state file at ${CLAUDE_PLUGIN_DATA}/sessions/<sanitized-session-id>.json:
- Passive —
scripts/user-prompt-submit.jsinjects a hidden[timing]block via the hook'sadditionalContext. Also emits a visiblesystemMessage([after 5m 2s]) when idle exceeds 10s. (These two outputs are independently gated — see Toggle layer.) - Active —
servers/time-server.jsis an MCP server (get_time,time_diff,mark_event,get_timeline) registered via.mcp.json. Hand-rolled JSON-RPC 2.0 over stdio — zero runtime dependencies, no@modelcontextprotocol/sdk.get_timelinemerges the in-memorymark_eventlog with the PostToolUse disk timeline (read viaresolveDataDir, falling back to$HOME/.claude/plugins/data/chronoclaude-chronoclaude; optionalsession_idarg, else most-recent file). Disk reads are wrapped so a failure never breaks the tool. - Retrospective —
commands/timestamps.mdis a slash command that shells out toscripts/parse-transcript.pyto render a wall-clock timeline of the current session's.jsonltranscript. - Visible —
scripts/message-display.jsis aMessageDisplayhook that prepends a local-time[HH:MM:SS]marker to the first batch (index === 0) of each assistant message. Display-only — never alters the transcript or what Claude sees. Requires Claude Code 2.1.152+. Adapted fromzoharbabin/claude-code-message-timestamps(MIT). The marker is wrapped in an SGR colour (default grey\x1b[90m, reset before the delta so the message text is never recoloured);CLAUDE_TIMING_MESSAGE_DISPLAY_COLORoverrides it (named colour, raw SGR, ornone) viamessageDisplayColorCodeinsrc/config.js.displayContentrenders ANSI per Claude Code docs.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

chronoclaude CLAUDE.md is an instructions file published in the GitHub repository pleasedodisturb/chronoclaude (6 stars, last pushed 1mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 2,596 tokens to every session, about $0.0130 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
