Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00935 | $0.00935 |
| Opus 5 | $0.00467 | $0.00467 |
| Sonnet 5 | $0.00187 | $0.00187 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00093 | $0.00093 |
Grade A, and why
tavily-fastmcp AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 7d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 78 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
Repository Guidelines
Project Structure & Module Organization
This is a Python 3.13+ package using a src/ layout. Runtime code lives in
src/tavily_fastmcp/: server creation and CLI entry points are in server.py,
typed settings/models are in settings.py and models.py, service logic is in
service.py, and MCP tool registration is split under tools/. Packaged prompt
markdown files live in src/tavily_fastmcp/prompts/. Tests are organized by
scope in tests/unit/, tests/integration/, and tests/e2e/. Usage samples are
in examples/, and Sphinx documentation is in docs/source/.
Build, Test, and Development Commands
pdm install -G :all: install runtime and development dependencies.pdm run pytest: run the full test suite with coverage reporting.pdm run pytest tests/unit: run only unit tests while iterating.pdm run ruff check .: lint imports, style, docstrings, and common bugs.pdm run mypy src: run strict type checking for the package.pdm build: build distributable package artifacts.pdm run sphinx-build -b html docs/source docs/source/_build/html: build docs.pdm run tavily-fastmcporpython -m tavily_fastmcp.server --transport stdio: run the MCP server locally.
Coding Style & Naming Conventions
Use 4-space indentation, type annotations, and explicit Pydantic models for
structured data. Ruff targets Python 3.13 with a 100-character line length and
Google-style docstrings. Keep module names lowercase with underscores, test files
named test_*.py, and MCP tool modules grouped by capability, such as
tools/search.py or tools/crawl.py. Preserve the typed package marker
py.typed when changing package metadata.
Testing Guidelines
Pytest is configured in pyproject.toml with pytest-asyncio, coverage for
src/tavily_fastmcp, and an 85% minimum coverage threshold. Mark tests with
unit, integration, e2e, or live as appropriate. Live Tavily tests require
TAVILY_API_KEY; do not make them mandatory for routine local validation.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
