thinking-framework-skills AGENTS.md

thinking-framework-skills AGENTS.md is an instructions file for Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode from product-on-purpose/thinking-framework-skills. It costs 3,363 tokens per session, scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A library of evidence-graded thinking methods for AI agents and the people working with them. Each method produces a reusable output, such as a risk register or option comparison, and explains when not to use it.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it for structured decisions, risk reviews, comparing options, and other planning tasks that benefit from a documented reasoning process.
Why use it?
It helps agents decide what to work on and why a choice is reasonable, while showing how strong the supporting evidence is.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.03363 $0.03363
Opus 5 $0.01682 $0.01682
Sonnet 5 $0.00673 $0.00673
Haiku 4.5 $0.00336 $0.00336

Security

Grade A, and why

thinking-framework-skills AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 6d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

thinking-framework-skills - agent guide

An evidence-graded library of agent-executable thinking-method skills, for AI agents and the humans who work with them. The plugin installs as thinking-framework-skills. Skill IDs are namespaced thinking-framework-skills.<method>, and installable skill names carry a think- prefix (for example think-premortem) to avoid cross-plugin collisions. Sibling to pm-skills, no technical coupling: thinking-framework-skills helps decide what to work on and why it is sound; pm-skills helps execute how.

What makes a skill here different

Each skill is built around four commitments, not just a prompt:

  1. Mechanism over ritual. The skill implements the durable cognitive move, named descriptively, not a trademarked brand.
  2. Honest evidence grading. Every skill carries an evidence tier and an evidence/dossier.md that says what the research does and does not support, and flags where evidence is transferred from human studies rather than validated for AI use.
  3. Artifact, not prose. Every skill emits a concrete, reusable artifact (a risk register, an option matrix, a perspective review).
  4. Explicit "When NOT to Use." Each skill states where it misleads, to guard against cargo-cult execution.

The canonical statement of all four commitments is in Philosophy on the docs site.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
