Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00999 | $0.00999 |
| Opus 5 | $0.00500 | $0.00500 |

Grade A, and why
glados-claude-plugin CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 1 finding against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 8d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

CLAUDE.md
This file provides guidance to Claude Code (claude.ai/code) when working with code in this repository.
What This Is
A GLaDOS personality plugin with neural TTS for Cortex Code and Claude Code. Registers hooks (Stop, SessionEnd) that synthesize assistant responses into speech using Forward Tacotron + HiFiGAN, played via afplay/aplay.
Commands
# Install (downloads ~260MB models, sets up venv, registers hooks/skills/commands)
./install.sh
# Uninstall (removes models, venv, hooks, skills, commands, state dirs)
./uninstall.sh
# Manual server control
./plugin/bin/serve.sh # Start TTS server (port 8124)
./plugin/bin/stop.sh # Stop TTS server
curl http://localhost:8124/health # Health check
# Syntax-check all shell scripts
for f in plugin/bin/*.sh plugin/lib/*.sh; do bash -n "$f"; done
No test suite exists. Validation is bash -n syntax checks and manual functional testing (activate → speak → mute/unmute → deactivate).
Architecture
Runtime State Lives Outside the Repo
All ephemeral state is stored in $GLADOS_STATE_DIR, resolved by plugin/lib/state-dir.sh:
- Cortex Code:
~/.snowflake/cortex/cache/glados/ - Claude Code:
~/.claude/cache/glados/ - Fallback:
~/.local/state/glados-tts/
Detection uses CORTEX_SESSION_ID / CLAUDE_SESSION_ID env vars. The state dir contains: sessions/, .muted, server.pid, server.log, audio/.
Key Patterns
- Session opt-in model: Audio only plays for sessions that explicitly activate via
/glados. Session markers are empty files at$GLADOS_STATE_DIR/sessions/<session-id>. - Shared library sourcing: All
plugin/bin/*.shscripts sourceplugin/lib/tts-helpers.sh, which in turn sourcesplugin/lib/state-dir.sh. This provides$GLADOS_STATE_DIR,$PID_FILE,$PLUGIN_ROOT,is_server_running(), andwait_for_server(). - Mute hierarchy: Global mute (
$GLADOS_STATE_DIR/.muted) → session registration check → per-session mute (sessions/.muted-<id>). - Async playback:
speak.shforks synthesis+playback into( ... ) &>/dev/null & disownso the hook returns immediately and text displays without delay. - Chunk splitting: Responses over 900 chars are split at sentence boundaries before synthesis (server has 1000-char limit).
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

glados-claude-plugin CLAUDE.md is an instructions file published in the GitHub repository prosecutorpotato/glados-claude-plugin (4 stars, last pushed 4mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 999 tokens to every session, about $0.0050 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 1 finding (makes network calls). No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
