linkloom: Instructions file for Codex

AGENTS.md

linkloom AGENTS.md is an instructions file for Codex, OpenCode from publicusdijital-ai/linkloom. It costs 288 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

Repository-specific instructions for linkloom, a toolkit that finds and adds relevant internal links to website content. They describe the project's structure, commands, testing, and safety limits.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use them when editing the project, running validation or tests, changing its Python scripts or skill files, and working with WordPress credentials or synchronization.
Why use it?
They help a coding agent make changes that fit the repository and avoid unsafe actions such as live content-management writes without a dry run.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00288 $0.00288
Opus 5 $0.00144 $0.00144
Sonnet 5 $0.00058 $0.00058
Haiku 4.5 $0.00029 $0.00029

Measured 9d ago against content hash 19a4ab43f021, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-08, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

linkloom AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Agent Instructions

This repository is an Open Agent Skill plus standard-library Python toolkit for topical internal linking.

Working Rules

  • Keep SKILL.md concise and route detailed guidance to references/.
  • Keep scripts dependency-free unless a dependency is clearly justified and documented.
  • Use python3 -m unittest discover -s tests after changing scripts.
  • Use python3 scripts/validate_skill.py . after changing SKILL.md or skill metadata.
  • Never make live CMS writes in examples, tests, or docs without dry-run-first language.
  • Do not store credentials in this repo. Use environment variables for WordPress application passwords.

Important Commands

python3 scripts/validate_skill.py .
python3 -m unittest discover -s tests
python3 -m py_compile scripts/*.py

Architecture

  • SKILL.md: minimal agent-facing workflow and resource map.
  • references/: detailed topical authority and website access rules.
  • scripts/: deterministic utilities for URL extraction, fetching, scoring, insertion, WordPress sync, installation, and validation.
  • examples/: safe local demo content.
  • tests/: standard-library unit tests.

Safety Boundary

The project may produce linked local copies automatically. Live site mutation is only acceptable through an official CMS API, after export/backup, local diff review, dry run, and explicit user approval.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
